Title: Courts to Send Intimation About Conviction

Every court by which any person holding a driving licence is convicted of an offence under this Act or of an offence in the commission of which a motor vehicle was used, shall send intimation to (a) the licensing authority which issued the driving licence, and (b) the licensing authority by whom the licence was last renewed, and every such intimation shall state the name and address of the holder of the licence, the licence number, the date of issue and renewal of the same, the nature of the offence, the punishment awarded for the same and such other particulars as may be prescribed.

Title: Fraudulently Obtaining Decree for Sum Not Due

Whoever fraudulently obtains a decree or order against any person for a sum not due or for a larger sum than is due, or for any property or interest in properly to which he is not entitled, or fraudulently causes a decree or order to be executed against any person after it has been satisfied or for anything in respect of which it has been satisfied, or fraudulently suffers or permits any such act to be done in his name, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.

Title: Construction of and Control of Drains and Sewage Collection and Disposal Works

(1) AH cantonment drains, all sewage collection and all works, materials and things appertaining thereto shall be under the control of the Board. (2) The Chief Executive Officer shall maintain and keep in repair all cantonment drains and sewage collection and sewage disposal works when authorised by the Board. (3) The Board shall construct as many new drams and sewage collection and sewage disposal works as nay from time to time be necessary for effectual drainage and sewage collection. (4) The Board shall ensure that the sewage effluents are treated in accordance with the norms laid down under the relevant laws relating to pollution before it is dispersed into a river, stream, lake or open land.

Title: Vesting of Property in Grama Panchayat

(1) It shall be competent for the Government, a Zilla Panchayat or Taluk Panchayat with the concurrence of the Grama Panchayat from time to time to direct that any property vesting in the Government, Zilla Panchayat or Taluk Panchayat, as the case may be, shall vest in the Grama Panchayat either conditionally or otherwise: Provided that no lease, sale or other transfer of any such immovable property by the Grama Panchayat shall be valid without the previous sanction, of the Government, the Zilla Panchayat or the Taluk Panchayat, as the case may be. (2) Every work constructed by a Grama Panchayat out of the Grama Panchayat fund shall vest in such Grama Panchayat: Provided that, the Government may , if it deems fit, declare by order that such road, building or other works vested in the Grama panchayat, shall stand transferred to and vest in, the Taluk Panchayat, Zilla Panchayat or the Government as the case may be. (3) All rubbish, sewage, filth and other matter collected by a Grama Panchayat under this Act shall belong to it.

Title: Fixing of Brackets, Etc., to Houses

The municipal council may erect or fix to the outside of any building, brackets for lamps to be lighted with oil or gas, or subject to the provisions of any law in force relating to electricity, for lamps to be lighted with electricity or otherwise, or subject to the provisions of the law in force relating to telegraphs, for telegraph wires or telephonic wires, or for the conduct of electricity for locomotive or other purposes, or such pipes as it may deem necessary for proper ventilation of sewer and waterworks, and such brackets and pipes shall be erected so as not to occasion any inconvenience or nuisance to the occupant of the said building or any others in the neighbourhood or to the public.

Title: Procedure to Be Followed when there is a Complaint Case and Police Investigation in Respect of the Same Offence

(1) When in a case instituted otherwise than on a police report (hereinafter referred to as a complaint case), it is made to appear to the Magistrate, during the course of the inquiry or trial held by him, that an investigation by the police is in progress in relation to the offence which is the subject-matter of the inquiry or trial held by him, the Magistrate shall stay the proceedings of such inquiry or trial and call for a report on the matter from the police officer conducting the investigation. (2) If a report is made by the investigating police officer under section 173 and on such report cognizance of any offence is taken by the Magistrate against any person who is an accused in the complaint case, the Magistrate shall inquire into or try together the complaint case and the case arising out of the police report as if both the cases were instituted on a police report. (3) If the police report does not relate to any accused in the complaint case or if the Magistrate does not take cognizance of any offence on the police report, he shall proceed with the inquiry or trial, which was stayed by him, in accordance with the provisions of this Code.

Title: Leaving Behind in India of Seaman or Apprentice Engaged Abroad

(1) The master of a ship shall not discharge at any place in India a seaman or apprentice engaged outside India unless he previously obtains the sanction in writing of such officer as the Central Government appoints in this behalf; but such sanction shall not be refused when the seaman or apprentice is discharged on the termination of his service. (2) Subject to the provisions contained in sub-section (1), the sanction under that subsection shall be given or withheld at the discretion of the officer so appointed, but whenever it is withheld, the reasons for so withholding it shall be recorded by him.
