THE KERALA WOMEN'S COMMISSION ACT, 1990 THE KERALA WOMEN'S COMMISSION ACT, 1990 1 (ACT 17 OF 1995) An Act to provide for the Constitution of a Women's Commission to improve the status of women in the State of Kerala and to enquire into unfair practices affecting women and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Preamble .-WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the Constitution of a Commission to improve the status of women in the State of Kerala and to enquire into unfair practices affecting women and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto; BE it enacted in the Forty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. Short title, extent and commencement .-(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Women's Commission Act, 1991. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint. 2. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows :- CHAPTER 1 : PRELIMINARY SECTION 1 : Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows : SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called The Finance Act, 1990 (2) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, sections 2 to 61 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 1990.
