11. Short title and commencement.-- (1) This Act may be called the Competition (Amendment) Act, 2007. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint: Provided that different dates2 may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision. __________________________________ 1. THE MAINTENANCE AND WELFARE OF PARENTS AND SENIOR CITIZENS ACT, 2007 THE MAINTENANCE AND WELFARE OF PARENTS AND SENIOR CITIZENS ACT, 2007 AN ACT to provide for more effective provisions for the maintenance and welfare of parents and senior citizens guaranteed and recognized under the Constitution and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
