.....or confinement of a person according to the usages of the service and includes military or naval custody: (vi) "air force law" means the law enacted by this Act and the rules made there under and includes the usages of the service; (vii) "air force reward" includes any gratuity or annuity for long service or good conduct, badge pay or pension, and any other air force pecuniary reward; (viii) "airman" means any person subject to this Act other than an officer; (ix) "air officer" means any officer of the Air Force above the rank of group captain; (x) "air signal" means any signal intended for the guidance of aircraft, whether given by flag, ground signal, light, wind indicator or in any manner whatsoever: (xi) "Chief Legal Adviser" means a person appointed as such by5[the Chief of the Air Staff] to give advice on matters relating to air force law and to perform such other duties of a legal character as may arise in connection therewith; (xii) "civil offence" means an offence which is triable by a criminal court; (xiii) "civil prison" means any jail or place used for the detention of any criminal prisoner under the Prisons Act, 1894-, or under any other law for the time.....

The Constitution (Ninety-Second Amendment) Act, 2003 [7th January, 2004] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Constitution of India. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title.-- This Act may be called the Constitution (Ninety-second Amendment) Act, 2003. 2. Amendment of Eighth Schedule.-- In the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution,-- (a) existing entry 3 shall be re-numbered as entry 5, and before entry 5 as so re-numbered, the following entries shall be inserted, namely:-- "3. Bodo. 4. Dogri."; (b) existing entries 4 to 7 shall respectively be re-numbered as entries 6 to 9; (c) existing entry 8 shall be re-numbered as entry 11 and before entry 11 as so renumbered, the following entry shall be inserted, namely:-- "10. Maithili."; (d) existing entries 9 to 14 shall respectively be re-numbered as entries 12 to 17; (e) existing entry 15 shall be re-numbered as entry 19 and before entry 19 as so re-numbered, the following entry shall be inserted, namely:-- "18. THE BOMBAY PUBLIC TRUSTS ACT, 1950 THE BOMBAY PUBLIC TRUSTS ACT, 1950 An Act to regulate and to make better provision for the administration of public religious and charitable trusts in the State of Bombay. WHEREAS it is expedient to regulate and to make better provision for the administration of public religious and charitable trusts in the State of Bombay; It is hereby enacted as follows; CHAPTER I-PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT, OPERATION AND APPLICATION . (I) This Act may be called the Bombay public Trusts Act, 1950. '[(2) It shall extends to the whole of the 2[State of Maharashtra]. (3) This Act shall come into force at once; but the provisions thereof shall apply to a public trust or any class of public trusts on the date specified in the notification under sub-section (4) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify the date on which the provisions of this Act shall apply to any public trust or any 3[class of public trusts; and different dates may be specified for such trusts in different areas] : Provided that the State Government may also by a like notification direct that from the date specified therein any public.....

.....co-ordinated system of road transport services."--Gaz.. of Ind., 1949, Pt. V, p. 559. Amending Act 63 of 1982.- The Road Transport Corporations Act, 1950 was enacted to enable State Governments to set up Transport Corporations with the object of providing efficient, adequate, economical and properly co ordinated system of road transport services. In the light of (he chanced circumstances, the suggestions which have been received from the State Governments, different Ministcries of the Central Government and other agencies concerned, it is proposed to make certain amendments in the said Act with a view primarily lo secure the heller functioning of the Road Transport Corporations under the Act. 2. The more important amendments proposed in the Bill are the following (a)Section 1of the Act is being amended to provide for the extension of the Act to the Union territory of Mizoram (vide clause 2). (b) The organisational set up of the Road Transport Corporations under the Act is being modified to provide, for each corporation a Board of Directors consisting of a Chairman and other Directors in place of the Chairman and members of the Corporation. SECTION 04: DUTY TO HAVE TELEGRAPH WIRES CONVERTED OR SOLD Every person in possession of telegraph wires which exceed ten pounds in weight shall, with- in one year from the commencement of this Act, have the whole of the quantity as is in excess of ten pounds converted into ingots: Provided that it. shall be open to any such person to sell the whole or any part of the telegraph wires in his possession at such price and to such authority as may be prescribed. .....
