THE HARYANA PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2009 THE HARYANA PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2009 [Act No. 4 of 2009] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- Section 1 - Short title This Act may be called the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2009. Section 2 - Amendment of section 35 of Haryana Act 32 of 2006 In sub-section (3) of section 35 of the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006 (hereinafter called the principal Act),-- (i) for the sign ".", the sign ":" shall be substituted; (ii) the following proviso shall be added at the end, namely:-- "Provided that in case of the universities having collaboration with reputed foreign or international universities or other institutions of other similar nature, the Government may relax the percentage of this reservation. Section 2 - Substitution of "Uttarakhand" in place of "Uttaranchal" In the Uttaranchal Technical University Act, 2005 (Act No. 5 of 2005) hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, the word "Uttaranchal", wherever it occurs shall be substituted by the word "Uttarakhand". Section 3 - Renumbering of clauses after clause (d) of Section 2 After clause (d) of Section 2 of the principal Act, the clauses (e), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (l), (m) and (n) shall be as renumbered in the Hindi version. Section 4 - Substitution of clause (b) of Section 2 and insertion of clause (o) after clause (m) In place of clause (b) of Section 2 of the principal Act, the following shall be substituted and clause (o) shall be inserted after clause (n), namely" "(b) Approved Institution' means an institution of Technical and Professional Education approved by the University/State Government". Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in its Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called YMCA University of Science and Technology Faridabad Act, 2009.
