THE TRIPURA PUBLIC PREMISES (EVICTION OF UNAUTHORISED OCCUPANTS) ACT, 1983 THE TRIPURA PUBLIC PREMISES (EVICTION OF UNAUTHORISED OCCUPANTS) ACT, 1983 An Act to Provide for the eviction of unaurhorised occupants from public premises and jot- certain incidental matters. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Tripura in the Thirty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows :- Short title, extent and commencement. 1 (I) This Act may be called THE TRIPURA PUBLIC PREMISES (EVICTION OF UNAUTHORISED OCCUPANTS) ACT, 1983. (2) It extends to the whole of Tripura. (3) It shall come into force at once. Definitions. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "estate officer" means an officer appointed as such by the State Government under Section 3 ; (b) "premises" means any land or any building or part of a building and includes,- (i) The garden, grounds and outhouse, if any, appertaining to such building or part of a building, and (ii) any fittings affixed to such building or part of a building for the more beneficial enjoyment thereof ; (c) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act ; (d) "public premises" means any premises belonging.....

THE SIKKIM PUBLIC WORKS (LIABILITY OF GOVERNMENT & CONTRACTOR) ACT, 1983 THE SIKKIM PUBLIC WORKS (LIABILITY OF GOVERNMENT & CONTRACTOR) ACT, 1983 (ACT NO. II OF 1983) [1.10.83] AN ACT to provide for liability of the Government and the contractor for certain damage caused to the property in the course of executing a public work and for matters connected therewith. Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Thirty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows: Short title, extent and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Public Works (Liability of Government and Contractor) Act, 1983. (2) It extends to the whole of Sikkim. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint. Definition. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, (I) "avoidable damage" means cutting of trees, standing crops, damage to huts, camping or dumping materials on the land of another person .without the authority of the owner of the said land and includes any other damage which, in the opinion of the Government, is not an unavoidable damage; 3. (2) Chief Engineer" means an officer of the Government.....

.....Act, 1968 (19 of 1968) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), after section 3, the following section shall be inserted namely:- "4. Act and rules thereunder to apply to certain persons notwithstanding anything in the Industrial Disputes Act or any other law.- Notwithstanding anything contained in Chapter VA or in any other provision of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act 14 of 1947) or in any other law for the time being in force, or in any judgment, decree or order of any court, the appointment of any person to any public service or post in connection with the affairs of the State of Kerala and the conditions of service (including termination of service) of any person appointed to any such service or post shall be governed by the provisions of this Act and the rules made or deemed to have been made thereunder." 3.Repeal and saving.-(1) The Kerala Public Services (Amendment) Ordinance, 1983 (36 of 1983), is hereby repealed. .....Banks) Act, 1959(38 of 1959), any corresponding new bank constituted under section 3 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970( 5 of 1970) or under section 3 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980, any other scheduled bank within the meaning of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934(2 of 1934); or (c) any other public financial institution, such credit information or other information as it may consider useful for the purpose, in such manner and at such time as it may think fit. 1(3) Nothing contained in this section shall apply to the credit information disclosed under the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005.". Explanation.- For the purposes of this sub-section, the expression "credit information" shall have the same meaning as in clause (c) of section 45A of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934(2 of 1934) subject to the modification that the banking company referred to therein shall mean a bank referred to in clause (b) of this sub-section or a public financial institution. _______________________ 1 . (1) In this Act, "public financial institution" means- (a) the industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India Limited, a company formed and registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1913(7 of 1913); (b) the industrial Reconstruction Corporation of India Limited, a company formed and registered under the Companies Act, 1956(1 of 1956); or (c) any other institution, being a company as defined in section 617 of the Companies Act, 1956(1 of 1956) or a company to which the provisions of section 619 of that Act apply, which the Central Government may, having regard to the nature of the business carried on by such institution, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify to be a public financial institution for the purposes of this Act. (2) Every notification issued under clause (c) of sub-section (1) shall, as soon as may be, after it is issued, be laid before each House of Parliament.
