.....Act or the Companies (Profits) Surtax Act. Explanation.- For the purposes of this section,- (a) "Income-tax Act" means the income-Tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961.); (b) "Companies (profits) Surtax Act" means the companies (Profits) Surtax Act, 1964 (7 of 1964); (c) words and expressions used in this section and not defined in this Act but defined in the Income-tax Act or the Companies (Profits) Surtax Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the said Acts. Section 15 - Taxes, fees and other charges not payable for the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that no taxes, duties, fees or other charges of whatever nature (including registration charges, shall be payable in respect of any transfer of shares or transfer of undertakings or transfer of any immovable property, under the provisions of this act.

Title: Provisions with Respect to Income-tax and Surtax

.....for the previous year in which the amalgamation referred to in sub-section (4) has taken place and the provisions of the Income-tax Act relating to set-off and carry forward to loss and allowance for depreciation shall apply accordingly. (6) The provisions of sub-sections (1) to (5) shall have effect notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the income-tax Act or the Companies (Profits) Surtax Act. Whereas there had been phenomenal increase in the population of the National Capital Territory of Delhi owing to migration and other factors resulting in tremendous pressure on land and infrastructure leading to encroachment or unauthorised developments which are not in consonance with the concept of planned development as provided in the Master Plan for Delhi, 2001 and the relevant Acts and building bye-laws made thereunder; And whereas the Master Plan for Delhi, 2001 was extensively modified and notified by the Central Government on the 7th day of February, 2007 with the perspective for the year 2021 keeping in view the emerging new dimensions in urban development vis-a-vis the social, financial and other ground realities; And whereas the Master Plan for Delhi with the perspective for the year 2021 specifically provides for strategies for housing for urban poor as well as to deal with the informal sector; And whereas a strategy and a scheme has been prepared by the local authorities in the National Capital Territory of Delhi for regulation of urban street vendors in accordance with the National Policy for Urban Street Vendors and the Master Plan for Delhi,.....

THE AUROVILLE (EMERGENCY PROVISIONS) AMENDMENT ACT, 1987 [Act, No. 44 of 1987] [11th December, 1987] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Auroville (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1980 BE it enacted by Parliament in the Thirty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows: - 1. Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Auroville (Emergency Provisions) Amendment Act, 1987. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 28th day of October, 1987. 2. Amendment of section 3 In section 3 of the Auroville (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1980 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (1), in the proviso, for the words "seven years", the words "eight years" shall be substituted. 3. Repeal and saving (1) The Auroville (Emergency Provisions) Amendment Ordinance, 1987, is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act, as amended by this Act.

Title: Continuance of Certain Emergency Provisions

(1) Notwithstanding the expiry of the Defence of India Act, 1939, and the Emergency Provisions (Continuance) Ordiance, 1946 (a) the provisions of the Defence of India Rules mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to this Act shall continue in force, and shall have effect subject to the modifications specified in the second column thereof; (b) any order or other instrument made or deemed to be made under or in pursuance of any of the said provisions and in force immediately before the commencement of this Act shall continue in force so far as consistent with the provisions as continued in force by this section and be deemed to be made under or in pursuance of the provisions so continued in force. (2) The references in sub-section (1) to the Defence of India Rules shall be construed as references to those Rules as modified and continued in force by the Emergency Provisions (Continuance) Ordiance, 1946.
