.....to carry out any 80[service, repair, reconditioning or restoration] of any motor car, light motor vehicle or two wheeled motor vehicle manufactured by such manufacturer; 39[(9a) "automated teller machine" means an interactive automatic machine designed to dispense cash, accept deposit of cash, transfer money between bank accounts and facilitate other financial transactions; (9b) "automated teller machine operations, maintenance or management service" means any service provided in relation to automated teller machines and includes site selection, contracting of location, acquisition, financing, installation, certification, connection, maintenance, transaction processing, cash forecasting, replenishment, reconciliation and value-added services; (9c) "banker to an issue" means a bank included in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934(2 of 1934), carrying on the activities relating to an issue including acceptance of application, application money, allotment money and call money, refund of application money, payment of dividend and interest warrants;] (10) "banking" has the meaning assigned to it in clause (b) of section 5 of the B anking.....

.....2.-- For the purposes of this clause, the expression "security" shall have meaning assigned to it in clause (h) of section 2 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 ; 4. THE MAHARASHTRA UNIVERSITIES ACT, 1994 THE MAHARASHTRA UNIVERSITIES ACT, 1994 Act No. XXXV of 1994 July, 1994 As Amended by Maharashtra Universities Act LV of 2000 w.e.f. 12.5.2000 An Act to unify, consolidate and amend the law relating to the non-agricultural and non-technological universities in the State of Maharashtra. WHEREAS IT is expedient to provide for a unified pattern for the constitution and administration of non-agricultural and non-technological universities in the State of Maharashtra and to make better provisions thereof ; AND WHEREAS with a view to consider and recommend measures for better governance of such universities and reorganisation of higher education, the Central Government and the Government of Maharashtra had appointed various commit tees and study groups; AND WHEREAS after considering the recommendations made by these committees and groups, and the experience gained in implementing the present university Acts, it is felt necessary to make provisions to enable each university to effectively carry out with responsibility the objects of the university, to promote more equitable distribution of facilities for higher education, to provide for.....

Title: Disqualifications of Councillors Having Share or Interest in Con Tract

.....is a party, or shall hold any office of profit under it, and if any Councillor shall have such share or interest or shall hold such office he shall thereby become disqualified to continue in office as a Councillor: Provided that a Councillor shall not be so disqualified or liable by reason-- (a) of having a share or interest in-- (i) a contract entered into between the Nagar Panchayat or the Council, as the case may be, and any incorporated or registered company or any registered Co-operative Society of which such Councillor is a member or shareholder; or (ii) any agreement for the loan of money, or any security for the payment of money only; or (iii) any newspaper in which any advertisement relating to the affairs of the municipality is inserted; or (b) of his being professionally engaged on behalf of the Nagar Panchayat or the Council, as the case may be, as a legal or medical practitioner and receiving a fee for services rendered in his professional capacity.
