THE SIKKIM MINING CORPORATION PROCLAMATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2000 THE SIKKIM MINING CORPORATION PROCLAMATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2000 AN ACT to amend the Sikkim Mining Corporation Proclamation, 1960. BE it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Fifty "first year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title and commencement. 1. (1) This act may be called the Sikkim Corporation Proclamation (Amendment Act, 2000) (2) It shall come into force at once. Amendment of Section 8 2. In the Sikkim Mining Corporation Proclamation, 1960, in-sub-section (1) of section 8. (i) for clause (a), the following clause shall be submitted, namely:- "(a) The Chairman who shall be appointed by the Governor of Sikkim". (ii) in clause (b), for the word "one", the word "two" shall be substituted. Sikkim State Acts

Title: Penalty for Improperly Describing a Place of Business as Connected with the Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout-design Registry

Title: Tampering with Computer Source Documents

Whoever knowingly or intentionally conceals, destroys or alters or intentionally or knowingly causes another to conceal, destroy, or alter any computer source code used for a computer, computer programme, computer system or computer network, when the computer source code is required to be kept or maintained by law for the time being in force, shall be punishable with imprisonment up to three years, or with fine which may extend up to two lakh rupees, or with both. Explanation.For the purposes of this section, "computer source code" means the listing of programmes, computer commands, design and layout and programme analysis of computer resource in any form.

Title: Power of Special Courts with Respect to Other Offences

(1) When trying any offence punishable under this Act, a Special court may also try any other offence with which the accused may, under the Code, be charged at the same trial, if the offence is connected with such other offence. (2) If, in the course of any trial of any offence under this Act, it is found that the accused persons have committed any other offence under this Act or under any other law, the Special Court may convict such person of such other offence and may pass any sentence authorized by the Act, or as the case may be, such other law, for the punishment thereof.

Title: Relations of Affiliated Colleges with the University

Title: Appointment in Accordance with the Promotion Schemes

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 53 but subject to the rules and orders of the State Government issued from time to time for reservation of appointment and posts for the persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under Article 16(4) and 16(4A) of the Constitution, the appointment to the post of Professors and Readers, Principals and Assistant Professors in the constituent Engineering Colleges and to the post of Principal Grade-I, Principal Grade-II, Lecturer (Selection Grade), Lecturer (Senior Scale) in the constituent Engineering Colleges shall be made by the Syndicate in accordance with the scheme governing promotions as prescribed by the Statutes adopting the schemes evolved by the University Grants Commission or All India Council for Technical Education. (2) The selection shall be as prescribed by the Statutes and supplemented by the norms and guidelines of the University Grants Commission or All India Council for Technical Education.

Title: Power to Invest Officers of the National Authority, Etc., with Poers of an Officer in Charge of a Police Station

(1) The Central Government may, after consultation with the State Government, by notification published in the Official Gazette, invest any officer of the National Authority with the powers of an officer in charge of a police station for the investigation of the offences under this Act. (2) The State Government may, by notification published in the Official Gazette, invest any of officer of gazetted rank or any class of such officers with the powers of an officer in charge of a police station for the investigation of the offences under this Act.

Title: Export or Import to Be Made in Accordance with Export and Import Policy
