The Bangalore Palace (Acquisition and Transfer) Act, 1996 Section 6

Title: Legal Representative or Heir or Interested Person to Be Liable for Certain Prior Liabilities

.....in the Board, against the Board. (2) For the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that,- (a) save as otherwise expressly provided in this section or in any other section of this Act, no liability of legal representatives or heirs or others in relation to the Palace in respect of any period prior to the appointed day shall be enforceable against the State Government, or where the Palace is directed under section 7 to vest in the Board against the Board; (b) no award , decree or other order of any court, tribunal or other authority in relation to the Palace passed after the appointed day in respect of any matter, claim, or dispute in relation to any matter which arose before that day, shall be enforceable against the State Government or where the Palace is directed under section 7 to vest in the Board, against the Board; (c) no liability incurred by the legal representatives or heirs or other persons before the appointed day, for the contravention of any provision of any law for the time being in force shall be enforceable against the State Government or where the Palace is directed under section 7 to vest in the Board, against the Board.

THE KANNUR UNIVERSITY ACT, 1996 [1] THE KANNUR UNIVERSITY ACT, 1996 [1] (ACT 22 OF 1996) An Act to establish and incorporate University of Kannur by the name Kannur University . Preamble .-WHEREAS it is considered necessary to establish a teaching, residential and affiliating University in the State of Kerala to provide for the development of higher education in the Kasaragod and Kannur revenue districts and the Mananthavady taluk of the Wayanad district in the State which are lagging in the field of higher education; BE it enacted in the Forty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Kannur University Act, 1996. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 9 th day of November 1995. 2. Definitions .- In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- "Academic Council" means the Academic Council of the University; (ii) "affiliated college" means a college affiliated to the University in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the Statutes and in which instruction is provided in accordance with the provisions of the statutes,.....

(2) Words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956) or the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 (42 of 1956) or the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in those Acts. SECTION 03: CERTIFICATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF BUSINESS BY DEPOSITORIES. (1) No depository shall act as a depository unless it obtains a certificate of commencement of business from the Board. (2) A certificate granted under sub-section (1) shall be in such form as may be specified by the regulations. (3) The Board shall not grant a certificate under sub-section (1) unless it is satisfied that the depository has adequate systems and safeguards to prevent manipulation of records and transactions : Provided that no certificate shall be refused under this section unless the depository concerned has been given a reasonable opportunity of being heard. SECTION 04: AGREEMENT BETWEEN DEPOSITORY AND PARTICIPANT. (1) A depository shall enter into an agreement with one or more participants as its agent. (2) Every agreement under sub-section (1) shall be in such form as.....
