.....be may supply] or make available water for the purpose of irrigation, to water users societies registered under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act 1959 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1959) 11 [or Water Users Associations registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Karnataka Act 17 of 1960)] 1 2 [x x x] and the 10 [Government or the Nigam, as the case may be, shall levy] and collect from such societies 11 [or such Association] the water rates, on volumetric basis. The Government may prescribe the rate at which such water rates shall be levied and the manner in which and the authority by which the amount of water rate levied shall be determined. Such societies 11 [or such Association] may supply water to farmers and collect water charges from the individual farmers. .....a returned candidate was not qualified, or was disqualified, to be chosen to fill the seat under the Constitution orthe Representation of the People Act, 1951-or this Act orthe Government of Union Territories Act, 1963-; or (b) that any corrupt practice has been committed by a returned candidate or his election agent or by any other person with the consent of a returned candidate or his election agent: or (c) that any nomination has been improperly rejected; or (d) that the result of the election in so far as it concerns the returned candidate has been materially affected- (i) by the improper acceptance of any nomination, or (ii) by any corrupt practice committed in the interests of the returned candidate by an agent other than his election agent, or (iii) by the improper reception, refusal or rejection of any vote or the reception of any vote which is void, or (iv) by any non-compliance with the provisions of the Constitution or of this Act or of any rules or orders made under this Act, the Authority shall declare the election of the returned candidate to be void. (2) If in the opinion of the Authority a returned candidate has been guilty by an agent. other than his election.....
