AN ACT to consolidate and amend the law relating ta co-operative societies in the State 'Of Sikkim. Title: Execution and Suspension of Sentences

.....since his conviction has been such as to justify a remission of the sentence he shall refer the matter to the authority or officer specified in section 107. Section 112 - Fresh sentence after suspension Where an offender, while a sentence on him is suspended under this Act, is sentenced for any other offence, then-- (a) if the further sentence is also suspended under this Act, the sentence shall run concurrently; (b) if the further sentence is for a period of three months or more and is not suspended under this Act, the offender shall also be committed to prison or Coast Guard custody for the unexpired portion of the previous sentence, but both sentences shall run concurrently; and (c) if the further sentence is for a period of less than three months and is not suspended under this Act, the offender shall be so committed on that sentence only, and the previous sentence shall, subject to any order which may be passed under section 110 or section 111 continue to be suspended. Title: Prohibition of Transfer of Granted Lands

(1) Notwithstanding anything in any law, agreement, contract or instrument, any transfer of granted land made either before or after the commencement of this Act, in contravention of the terms of the grant of such land or the law providing for such grant, or sub-section (2) shall be null and void and no right, title or interest in such land shall be conveyed or be deemed ever to have conveyed by such transfer. (2) No person shall, after the commencement of this Act, transfer or acquire by transfer any granted land without the previous permission of the Government. (3) The provisions of sub-sections (1) and (2) shall apply also to the sale of any land in execution of a decree or order of a civil court or of any award or order of any other authority.

In section 80P of the Income-tax Act, in sub-section (2), for clause (b), the following clause shall be substituted with effect from the 1st day of April, 1979, namely :- "(b) in the case of a co-operative society, being a primary society engaged in supplying milk raised by its members to - (i) a federal milk co-operative society; or (ii) the Government or a local authority; or (iii) a Government company as defined in section 617 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), or a corporation established by or under a Central, State or Provincial Act (being a company or corporation engaged in supplying milk to the public), the whole of the amount of profits and gains of such business;".
