.....be, forthwith; (b) any person who, immediately before such vesting, has, in his possession, custody or control, any books, documents or other papers relating to the undertaking, shall be liable to account for the said books, documents and papers to the Central Government or the successor Government company, as the case may be, and shall deliver them up to the Central Government or that company or to such person as the Central Government or that company may authorise in this behalf. (2) Without prejudice to the other provisions contained in this section, it shall be lawful for the Central Government or the successor Government company to take all necessary steps for taking possession of all properties, which have been transferred to and vested in it under this Act.

THE TAMIL NADU DEBT RELIEF ACT, 1979 THE TAMIL NADU DEBT RELIEF ACT, 1979 ACT NO. 40 OF 1979 CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title, extent and commencement " (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Debt Relief Act, 1979 (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu (3) This Act except section 32,33 and 34 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th day of July 1978 and sections 32, 33 and 34 of this Act shall come into force on the date of the publication of this Act in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. 2. Declaration " It is hereby declared that this Act is for giving effect to the policy of the State towards securing the principles specified in Article 46 of the Constitution. 3. Definitions.- In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "cashew factory" means a factory as defined in the Factories Act, 1948 (Central Act 63 of 1948), wherein processing of cashewnuts is being carried on and includes the factory building, the site thereof and the buildings and lands appurtenant therto used or necessary for, or in connection with, the working of the factory; (b) "Corporation" means the Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 (Central Act 1 of 1956); (c) the expression "Person interested", in relation to any cashew factory, includes all persons claiming or entitled to claim an interest in the amount payable on account of the requisitioning of that factory under this Act; (d) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act; (e) "processing", with reference to cashew nuts, includes extraction of cashew nut oil, roasting, shelling, peeling, grading and treating of cashew nuts; (f) "Tribunal" means the Tribunal appointed under section 6. 3.
