Explanation."For the purposes of this sub-section, "hash function" means an algorithm mapping or translation of one sequence of bits into another, generally smaller, set known as "hash result" such that an electronic record yields the same hash result every time the algorithm is executed with the same electronic record as its input making it computationally infeasible" (a).....

Title: Power of Police Officer and Other Officers to Enter, Search, Etc

.....this behalf may enter any public place and search and arrest without warrant any person found therein who is reasonably suspected of having committed or of committing or of being about to commit any offence under this Act. Explanation.-For the purposes of this sub-section, the expression "public place" includes any public conveyance, any hotel, any shop or any other place intended for use by, or accessible to the public. (2) Where any person is arrested under sub-section (1) by an officer other than a police officer, such officer shall, without unnecessary delay, take or send the person arrested before a magistrate having jurisdiction in the case or before the officer-in-charge of a police station. (3) The provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), shall, subject to the provisions of this section, apply, so far as may be, in relation to any entry, search or arrest, made under this section. _____________________ 1. Chemical Weapons Convention Act, 2000 Section 30

Title: Power to Invest Officers of the National Authority, Etc., with Poers of an Officer in Charge of a Police Station

(1) The Central Government may, after consultation with the State Government, by notification published in the Official Gazette, invest any officer of the National Authority with the powers of an officer in charge of a police station for the investigation of the offences under this Act. (2) The State Government may, by notification published in the Official Gazette, invest any of officer of gazetted rank or any class of such officers with the powers of an officer in charge of a police station for the investigation of the offences under this Act.

(4) Where any body corporate constituted under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act for the existing State of Bihar or any pan thereof has, by virtue of the provisions of Part II, becomes an inter-State body corporate, the investments in, or loans or advances to, any such body corporate by the existing State of Bihar made before the appointed day shall, save as otherwise expressly provided by or under this Act, be divided between the States of Bihar and Jharkhand in the same proportion in which the assets of the body corporate are divided under the provisions of this part. SECTION 47: ASSETS AND LIABILITIES OF STATE UNDERTAKINGS (1) The assets and liabilities relating to any commercial or industrial undertaking of the existing State of Bihar shall pass to the State in which the undertaking is located. (2) Where a depreciation reserve fund is maintained by the existing State of Bihar for any such commercial or industrial undertaking, the securities held in respect of investments made from that fund shall pass to the State in which the undertaking is located. ..... and liabilities .--(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (Act XII of 1955), with effect on and from the date of coming into operation of the State Sports Council constituted under this Act, the existing Sports Council shall be deemed to have been dissolved. (2) All properties and all rights of whatever kind used, enjoyed or possessed by and all interests of whatever kind owned in or vested in or held by, the existing Sports Council and all liabilities legally subsisting against it shall, with effect on and from the date specified in sub-section (1) and subject to such directions, as may be issued by the Government in this behalf, vest in the State Sports Council. (3) Upon the constitution of the State Sports Council under this Act, every officer or other employee employed in connection with the affairs of the existing Sports Council shall become an officer or other employee of the State Sports Council and shall hold his office for the same tenure, at the same remuneration and upon the same terms and conditions and with the same rights and privileges as to pension,.....
