Karnataka Universities of Agricultural Sciences Act, 1963 Section 21

Title: Heads of Divisions

State: Karnataka

Year: 1963

(1) There shall be the following Heads of Divisions, namely: (i) Head of Basic Sciences and Humanities Division. (ii) Head of Plant and Soil Sciences Division. (iii) Head of Horticulture Sciences Division. (iv) Head of Animal Sciences Division. (v) Head of Dairying Sciences Division. (vi) Head of Veterinary Sciences Division. (vii) Head of Fisheries Sciences Division. (viii) Head of Home Economics Division. (ix) Head of Agricultural Engineering Sciences Division. (2) The Heads of Divisions shall be whole time officers technically trained in the subject concerned and shall be responsible to the Dean and the respective Directors and shall exercise such powers and perform such functions in respect of the Division concerned as may be prescribed. (3) The salary and allowances and other conditions of service of the Heads of Divisions shall be such as may be prescribed.

Title: Superintendent of Police to Be the Head of the Police in the District, Subject to the General Control of the District Magistrate

(1) The Superintendent of Police shall be the head of the police in the district or part of the district for which he is appointed as Superintendent. (2) The administration of the Police in a district or part of a district by the Superintendent of Police shall be subject to the general control of the District Magistrate of the District. (3) In exercising such control, the District Magistrate shall be governed by such rules and orders as the Government may make in this behalf.

Forest Act, 1963 Chapter 6

Title: Control of Timber and Other Forest Produce in Transit

.....limit the number of such marks that may be registered by any one person and provide for the levy of fees for such registration. (3) In making a rule under this section, the State Government may provide that person guilty of contravention thereof shall, on conviction, be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both; and where the contravention is committed after sunset or before sunrise, or after preparation for resistance to lawful authority, or where the offender has been previously convicted for a like offence with imprisonment which may extend to one year or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both. ______________________ 1. Title: Power to Make Rules to Regulate Transit of Forest Produce
