The Orissa Municipal Councils (Postponement of Elections) (No.2) Act, 1983 Complete Act

.....under the Municipal Act. 3. Postponement of general elections in certain municipal Councils. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Municipal Act, the general elections for the reconstitution of the Municipal Councils specified in the Schedule shall be held in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Act and the rules made thereunder on such date, not being later than the 31st March, 1984, as may be fixed by the State Government and the elections so held shall, for all purposes, be deemed to be general election held under this Act. 4. Repeal and Savings. (1) The Orissa Municipal Councils (Postponement of Elections) (No.2) Ordinance, 1983 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act. SCHEDULE 1. Keonjhargarh Municipal Council 2. Title: No Person to Function as Recruiting Agent Without a Valid Certificate

Save as otherwise provided in this Act, no recruiting agent shall, after the commencement of this Act, commence or carry on the business of recruitment except under and in accordance with a certificate issued in that behalf by the registering authority: Provided that a person carrying on the business of recruiting agent immediately before the commencement of this Act may continue to carry on such business without such a certificate for a period of one month from such commencement and if he has made an application for such certificate under this Act within the said period of one month and such application is in the prescribed form and contains the prescribed particulars, till the disposal of such application by the registering authority.
