Title: Submission of Death Sentences for Confirmation

.....In every case so submitted, the confirmation of the sentence, or any new sentence or order passed by the High Court, shall when such Court consists of two or more Judges, be made, passed and signed by at least two of them. Section 370 - Procedure in case of difference of opinion Where any such case is heard before a Bench of Judges and such Judges are equally divided in opinion, the case shall be decided in the manner provided by section 392. Section 371 - Procedure in cases submitted to High Court for confirmation In cases submitted by the Court of Session to the High Court for the confirmation of a sentence of death, the proper officer of the High Court shall, without delay, after the order of confirmation or other order has been made by the High Court, send a copy of the order under the seal of the High Court and attested with his official signature, to the Court of Session

1 [89A. Confirmation ofsale (1) On effecting the sale by an 2 [Agriculture and Rural Development Bank] under section 89, the bank shall, in the prescribed manner submit to the 2 [State Agriculture and Rural Development Bank] and the Registrar a report setting forth the manner in which the sale has been effected and the result of the sale, and the 2 [State Agriculture and Rural Development Bank] may, with the approval of the Registrar, confirm the sale or cancel it. (2) Where the sale is effected by the 2 [State Agriculture and Rural Development Bank] or the Trustee under section 89, the 2 [State Agriculture and Rural Development Bank] or the Trustee, as the case may be, shall in the prescribed manner submit to the Registrar a report setting forth the manner in which the sale has been effected and the result of the sale, and the Registrar may confirm or cancel the sale. _________________________ 1. Title: Power of High Court to Confirm Sentence or Annul Conviction

In any case submitted under section 366, the High Court (a) may confirm the sentence, or pass any other sentence warranted by law, or (b) may annul the conviction, and convict the accused of any offence of which the Court of Session might have convicted him, or order a new trial on the same or an amended charge, or (c) may acquit the accused person: Provided that no order of confirmation shall be made under this section until the period allowed for preferring an appeal has expired, or, if an appeal is presented within such period, until such appeal is disposed of.

Title: Contracts in Bad Faith May Be Cancelled or Varied

(1) If the Central Government is satisfied, after such inquiry as it may think fit, that any contract or agreement entered into at any time within one year immediately preceding the appointed day, between either of the two Yoga Societies and any other person, in so far as such contract or agreement relates to any undertaking of such Yoga Society, has been entered into in bad faith, or is detrimental to the interests of the concerned Yoga Society it may make an order cancelling or varying (either unconditionally or subject to such conditions as it may think fit to impose) such contract or agreement and thereafter the contract or agreement shall have effect accordingly : Provided that no contract or agreement shall be cancelled or varied except after giving to the parties to the contract or agreement a reasonable opportunity of being heard. (2) Any person aggrieved by an order under sub-section (1) may make an application to the High Court at Delhi for the variation or reversal of such order and thereupon such court may confirm, modify or reverse such order.

(2) Any person aggrieved by an order under sub-section (1) may make an application to the High Court within the local limits of whose jurisdiction the principal place of business of the company in India is situated for the variation or reversal of such order and thereupon such court may confirm, modify or reverse such order.

(2) Any person aggrieved by an order made under sub-section (1) may make an application to the Tribunal for the variation or reversal of such order and thereupon the Tribunal may confirm, modify or reverse such order.
