Title: Decision to Be Taken by Majority

The decision of the Tribunal by majority of Members shall be binding: Provided that if there is a difference of opinion among the Members hearing an application or appeal, and the opinion is equally divided, the Chairperson shall hear (if he has not heard earlier such application or appeal) such application or appeal and decide: Provided further that where the Chairperson himself has heard such application or appeal alongwith other Members of the Tribunal, and if there is a difference of opinion among the Members in such cases and the opinion is equally devided, he shall refer the matter to other Members of the Tribunal who shall hear such application or appeal and decide.

LAND PORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA ACT, 2010 LAND PORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA ACT, 2010 31 OF 2010 An Act to provide for the establishment of the Land Ports Authority of India to put in place systems which address security imperatives and for the development and management of facilities for cross border movement of passengers and goods at designated points along the international borders of India and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Sixty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER 1 : PRELIMINARY SECTION 1 : Short title and commencement (1) This Act may Le called the Land Ports Authority of India Act, 2010.
