.....the assent of the Governor on 30th day of March, 1993 is hereby published for general information : THE SIKKIM AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE MARKET ACT, 1993 (Act. NO. I OF 1993) An Act to provide for better regu1ation of marketing of agricultural produce and the establishment and proper administration of markets for agriculture produce and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Sikkirn in the Forty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows : CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Agriculture Produce Market Act. 1993. It extends to the whole of the State of Sikkim. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette. appoint and different dates may be appointed for different areas. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires. (a) "agriculturist':" means a person who ordinarily by himself or by his tenant or hired labour or otherwise is engaged in the production of agricultural produce but does not include a dealer or broker in agricultural produce (b) .'agricultural produce" includes all produce, .whether.....
