..... (4) The Chancellor shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by or under this Act. Section 12 - The Pro-Chancellor (1) The Minister in charge of Animal Husbandry in Karnataka shall, by virtue of his office be the Pro-Chancellor of the University. (2) He shall exercise such powers and perform such duties of the Chancellor as may be conferred on him by or under this Act. He shall also exercise such other powers and perform such other duties of the Chancellor as the Chancellor may by order in writing delegate to the Pro--Chancellor and such delegation may be subject to such restrictions and conditions as may be specified in such order. (3) He shall in the absence of the Chancellor preside at any convocation of the University. Section 13 - The Vice-Chancellor (1) The Vice-Chancellor shall be a whole time officer of the University. (2) The Vice--Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor out of a panel of names recommended by a search committee consisting of a person nominated by the Chancellor, the Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the Chairman, University Grants.....

.....Secretary of the Academic Council and the Board, and shall be bound to place before them all such information as may be necessary for the transaction of the business. He shall receive applications for entrance to the University, and shall keep a permanent record of all courses, curricula and other information as may be necessary. The Registrar shall be responsible for making arrangements for the conduct of the examinations as may be prescribed and shall make all other arrangements necessary therefor and be responsible for the due execution of all processes connected therewith. He may call from any office, laboratory, college or institution maintained by the University, any information or returns as he may consider necessary for the exercise of his powers, performance of his functions or discharge of his duties. (5) When the office of the Registrar is vacant, or when the Registrar is, by reason of illness, absence or any other reason, unable to exercise the powers, perform the functions and discharge the duties of his office, the powers, functions and duties of the office of the Registrar shall be exercised, discharged and performed by such person as the Vice--Chancellor.....

.....be deemed necessary, it appears to the Kuladhipati that Kulpati:-- (i) has made default in performing any duty imposed on him, by or under this Act; or (ii) has acted in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the University; or (iii) is incapable of managing the affairs of the University, the Kuladhipati may, notwithstanding the fact that the term of office of Kulpati has not expired, by an order, in writing, stating the reasons therein, require Kulpati to relinquish his office as from such date as may be specified in the order. (4) No order under sub-section (3) shall be passed unless the particulars of the grounds on which such action is proposed to be taken are communicated to Kulpati and he is given a reasonable opportunity of showing cause against the proposed order. (5) As from the date specified in the order under sub-section (3) Kulpati shall be deemed to have relinquished the office and the office of Kulpati shall fall vacant. (Substituted by C.G. .....Board of Management (1) The Chancellor shall, as soon as may, be after the first Vice--Chancellor is appointed under the second proviso to sub--section (4) of section 13, take action to constitute the Board of management. (2) The Board shall consist of the following members, namely:-- (A) EX--OFFICIO MEMBERS (i) The Vice--Chancellor, who shall be the chairperson; (ii) The Secretary to Government of Karnataka in charge of Animal husbandry or his nominee not below the rank of a Joint Secretary.
