Preamble .-WHEREAS it is expedient to make provision for comprehensive and systematic development of the areas in which lands benefited by irrigation projects are situated and for matters incidental thereto; BE it enacted in the Thirty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I Preliminary 1. Short title, extent and commencement .-(1) This Act may be called the Kerala command Areas Development Act, 1986. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala . (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 11th day of January, 1985. 2. Preamble. - Whereas it is expedient to consolidate and amend the law relating to the levy of tax on the sale or purchase of goods based on the concept of value added tax in the State of Kerala: Be it enacted in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows: - CHAPTER - I PRELIMINARY 1 .
