INCOME TAX ACT, 1961 INCOME TAX ACT, 1961 43 of 1961 [AS AMENDED BY FINANCE ACT, 2003] An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to income-tax and super-tax BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twelfth Year of the Republic of India as follows : CHAPTER 1 PRELIMINARY Section 1 Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Income-tax Act, 1961. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, it shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 1962. Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 Schedule 1

Explanation.-For the purposes of this Part, in the case of an insurer incorporated outside India in respect whom an order under section 35 has been made, the assets or the assets and liabilities as the case may be, specified in the order shall be excluded. Paragraph 5.- If the insurer to whom compensation is to be given under this part is a displaced insurer, the compensation to be given shall be computed in accordance with following provisions:- Firstly, there shall be ascertained the losses incurred by the displaced insurer in respect of claims arising by deaths established by the displaced insurer to have been caused by the civil disturbances which took place on the occasion of the setting up of the Dominions of India and Pakistan, the total loss being taken as the difference between the amounts paid as claims in respect of such deaths and the total amount of the actuarial reserve in respect of the relevant policies; Secondly, there shall be ascertained the difference between the market value as at the 15th day of August 1947, of any immovable property in West Pakistan belonging to the displaced insurer and the market value thereof.....

Government of India Act, 1935 [Repealed] Schedule I

Upon the expiration of the term for which he is appointed to serve as a member of the Federal Legislature, a person, if otherwise duly qualified, shall be eligible to be appointed to serve for a further term. 6. Subject to the special provisions hereinafter contained with respect to the appointement of persons to represent certain States and groups of States comprised in Divisions XVI and XVII of the Table of seats,-- (i) the Rulers of the States constituting a group of States to which a seat in the Council of State is allotted shall in rotation appoint a person to fill that seat; and (ii) the Rulers of States constituting a group of States to which a seat in the Federal Assembly is allotted shall appoint jointly a person to fill that seat : Provided that the Rulers of two or more States entitled to appoint in rotation a person to fill a seat in the Council.....

Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948 [Repealed] Schedule I

Geneva Convention Act 1960 Schedule I

CHAPTER IX REPRESSION OF ABUSES AND INFRACTIONS Article 49 The High contracting parties undertake to enact any legislation necessary to provide effective penal sanctions for persons committing, or ordering to be committed, any of the grave breaches of the present convention defined in the following Article. Depositories Act, 1996 Complete Act

(2) Words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956) or the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 (42 of 1956) or the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in those Acts. SECTION 03: CERTIFICATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF BUSINESS BY DEPOSITORIES. (1) No depository shall act as a depository unless it obtains a certificate of commencement of business from the Board. (2) A certificate granted under sub-section (1) shall be in such form as may be specified by the regulations. (3) The Board shall not grant a certificate under sub-section (1) unless it is satisfied that the depository has adequate systems and safeguards to prevent manipulation of records and transactions : Provided that no certificate shall be refused under this section unless the depository concerned has been given a reasonable opportunity of being heard. Carriage by Air Act, 1972 Schedule 1

.....goods performed by aircraft for reward. They apply also to such carriage when performed gratuitously by an air transport undertaking. (2) In these rules, "High Contracting Party" means a High Contracting Party to the Convention. (3) For the purposes of these rules the expression, "international carriage" means any carriage in which according to the contract made by the parties, the place of departure and the place of destination, whether or not there be a break in the carriage or a transshipment, are situated either within the territories of two High Contracting Parties, or within the territory of a single High Contracting Party, if there is an agreed stopping place within a territory subject to the sovereignty, suzerainty, mandate or authority of another Power, even though that Power is not a party to the Convention.
