Title: Killing and Capture of Wild Elephants Prohibited

No person shall kill, injure or capture, or attempt to kill, injure or capture, any wild elephant unless (a) in defence of himself or some other person; (b) when such elephant is found injuring houses or cultivation, or upon, or in the immediate vicinity of, any main public road or any railway or canal ; or (c) as permitted by a license granted under this Act. Title: License to Kill and Capture Wild Elephants

The collector or Deputy Commissioner of any district may, subject to such rules as may for the time being be in force under this Act, grant licenses to kill, or to capture, or to kill and capture, wild elephants in such district: Provided that no such license shall authorize any person to enter upon any land without the consent of the owner or occupier thereof.

Title: Of Offences Affecting the Human Body

.....defence. Explanation.--Whether the provocation was grave and sudden enough to prevent the offence from amounting to murder is a question of fact. Illustrations (a) A, under the influence of passion excited by a provocation given by Z, intentionally kills. Y, Z"s child. This is murder, in as much as the provocation was not given by the child, and the death of the child was not caused by accident or misfortune in doing an act caused by the provocation. (b) Y gives grave and sudden provocation to, A, A, on this provocation, fires a pistol at Y, neither intending nor knowing himself to be likely to kill Z, who is near him, but out of sight. A kills Z. Here A has not committed murder, but merely culpable homicide. (c) A is lawfully arrested by Z, a bailiff. A is excited to sudden and violent passion by the arrest, and kills Z. This is murder, in as much as the provocation was given by a thing done by a public servant in the exercise of his powers. (d) A appears as witness before Z, a Magistrate, Z says that he does not believe a word of A's deposition, and that A has perjured himself. A is moved to sudden passion by these words, and kills Z. The Bombay Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection Act, 1951 Complete Act

.....and includes the head or horn, tooth, tusk, bone, claw, hoof, skin, hair, feather, eggs or nest of any bird, but does not include any article manufactured from any such part of the animal or bird as aforesaid; (n) "Vermin" means any animal or bird specified in Schedule I and includes any animal or bird declared to be a vermin under Section 18. The Himachal Pradesh Fisheries Act, 1976 Complete Act

.....of fishermen and promotion of fishing industry; (j) regulate the marketing of fish and also purchase and use of fish for preservation or for the manufacture of any fish products; (k) regulate the possession of fishing craft and gear within such specified limits as may appear to be necessary; and (l) regulate the transport of all fish or of certain species of fish or fish products within specified limits as may appear to be necessary.
