Disaster Management Act, 2005 Chapter IV

.....an emergency, have power to exercise all or any of the powers of the District Authority but the exercise of such powers shall be subject to ex post facto ratification of the District Authority. .....produced or manufactured in India" means the excise duty for the time being in force which would be leviable on a like article if produced or manufactured in India or, if a like article is not so produced or manufactured, which would be leviable on the class or description of articles to which the imported article belongs, and where such duty is leviable at different rates, the highest duty. (2) For the purpose of calculating under sub-sections (1) and (3), the additional duty on any imported article, where such duty is leviable at any percentage of its value, the value of the imported article shall, notwithstanding anything contained in section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962(52 of 1962), be the aggregate of-- (i) the value of the imported article determined under sub-section (1) of section 14 or the tariff value of such article fixed under sub-section (2) of that section, as the case may be; and (ii) any duty of customs chargeable on that article under section 12 of the Customs Act, 1962(52 of 1962), and any sum chargeable on that article under any law for the time being in force as an addition to, and in the same manner as, a duty of customs, but does not include-- (a).....

(3) The functions of the District Programme Coordinator shall be-- (a) to assist the district Panchayat in discharging its functions under this Act and any scheme madethereunder; (b) to consolidate the plans prepared by the Blocks and project proposals received from other implementing agencies for inclusion in the shelf of projects to be approved by the Panchayat at district level; (c) to accord necessary sanction and administrative clearance, wherever necessary; (d) to coordinate with the Programme Officers functioning within his jurisdiction and the implementing agencies to ensure that the applicants are provided employment as per their entitlements under this Act; (e) to review, monitor and supervise the performance of the Programme Officers; (f) to conduct periodic inspection of the works in progress; and (g) to redress the grievances of the applicants. In section 10 of the Income tax Act, with effect from the 1st day of April, 2006,- (a) in clause (4), in sub-clause (ii), the second proviso shall be omitted; (b) in clause (6BB), for the words, figures and letters "entered into after the 31st day of March, 2005", the words, figures and letters "entered into after the 30th day of September, 2005" shall be substituted; (c) in clause (10D), in sub-clause (c), in the second proviso, for the words, brackets, figures and letter "Explanation to sub-section (2A) of section 88", the words, brackets, figures and letters "Explanation to sub-section (3) of section 80C or the Explanation to sub-section (2A) of section 88, as the case may be" shall be substituted; (d) in clause (15), in sub-clause (iv), in item (fa), the words, figures and letters "before the 1st day of April, 2005" shall be omitted; (e) in clause (15-4), in the proviso, for the words, figures and letters "the 1st day of April, 2005", the words, figures and letters "the 1st day of October, 2005" shall be substituted.

Coastal Aquaculture Authority Act, 2005 Chapter IV
