.....established by Government Order, Industries and Labour Department No. KVB. 1065/29306-IND-II, dated the 6th May, 1965, will under Rule 3 and sub-rule (2) of Rule 6 of the Maharashtra Khadi and Village Industries Rules, 1970, expire on the 19th day of February, 1972; and it is, therefore, necessary to appoint members and Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Member-Secretary on that Board; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 4 of the Bombay Khadi and Village Industries Act, 1960 (Bom. XIX of 1960), the Government of Maharashtra hereby, with effect from the 20th day of February, 1972 - (a) appoints the following persons to be the members of the said Board, namely :- [Names not printed] G.N., I. & L.D., No. KVB. 1065/13849-IND-II, dated 29th April, 1966 (M.G., Pt. .....to in this Article. In no case shall requisition of labour lead to a mobilization of workers in an organization of a military or semi-military character. Article 52 No contract, agreement or regulation shall impair the right of any worker, whether voluntary or not and wherever he may be, to apply to the representatives of the Protecting Power in order to request the said Power's intervention. (Protection of workers) All measures aiming at creating unemployment or at restricting the opportunities offered to workers in an occupied territory, in order to induce them to work for the Occupying Power, are prohibited. Article 53 Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or co-operative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations. (Prohibited destruction) Article 54 The Occupying Power may not alter the status of public officials or judges in the occupied territories, or in any way apply sanctions to or take any measures of coercion or discrimination.....

THE FOURTH SCHEDULE (See Section 14) Amendment to the Second Schedule to the delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1960. (1) For the heading "4 BOMBAY", substitute "4-GUJAR AT". (2) In entry 103, for the words "Sagbara mahal", substitute "Sagbara taluka". (3) For the sub-heading "SURAT DISTRICT" appearing before entry 106, substitute the sub-heading "SURAT AND DANGS DISTRICTS" (4) in entry 114, for the words "Bansda taluka", substitute the words "Dangs district, Bansda taluka" (5) In entry 118, for the words "Pardi taluka" in Column 3, substitute the words "Pardi and Umbergaon talukas". (6) After entry 118 (a)add the following Note : "Note - Any reference in this Part to Broach, Surat or Dangs district or to Sagbara taluka of Broach district to Songadh or Umbergaon taluka of Surat district shall be taken to mean the area comprised in that district or taluka, as the case may be, on the 1st day of May, 1960" (b) after the said Note, insert an Appendix reproducing items (1) to (33) of the existing Appendix to Part 4 of the Order. Title: Amendment of the First Schedule to the Constitution

As from the appointed day, in the First Schedule to the Constitution, under the heading "I. The STATES," (a) for entry 4, the following entry shall be substituted, namely : "4. Gujarat The territories referred to in sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Bombay Reorganisation Act, 1960."; (b) after entry 7, the following entry shall be inserted, namely ; "8. Maharashtra The territories specified in sub-section (1) of section 8 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956, but excluding the territories referred to in sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Bombay Reorganisation Act, 1960."; and (c) entries 8 to 14 shall be renumbered as entries 9 to 15, respectively.

Title: Establishment of Animal Welfare Board of India

(1) For the promotion of animal welfare generally and for the purpose of protecting animals from being subjected to unnecessary pain or suffering, in particular, there shall be established by the Central Government, as soon as may be after the commencement of this Act, a Board to he called the1[Animal Welfare Board of India]. (2) The Board shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of property and may by its name sue and be sued. _________________________ 1. .....sign shall, after the commencement of this Act, be placed or erected on or near any highway, but all traffic signs erected prior to the commencement of this Act by any authority competent to do so shall for the purposes of this Act be deemed to be traffic signs under the provisions of sub-section (1). (4) Any authority authorised in this behalf by notification by the State Government may remove or cause to be removed any sign or advertisement which is so placed in his opinion as to obscure any traffic sign from view or any sign or advertisement which is in his opinion so similar in appearance to a traffic sign as to be misleading. (5) No person shall wilfully remove, alter, deface, or in any way tamper with any traffic sign placed or erected under this section. (6) If any person accidentally causes such damage to a traffic sign as renders it useless for the purpose for which it is placed and erected under this section, he shall report the circumstances of the occurrence at the nearest police station, as soon as possible, and in any case within twenty-four hours of the occurrence.
