THE CHHATTISGARH LAND REVENUE CODE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2003 THE CHHATTISGARH LAND REVENUE CODE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2003 [Act No. 11 of 2003] PREAMBLE An Act to further amend the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 (No. 20 of 1959). Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the fifty-fourth year of the Republic of India as follows.-- Section 1 - Short Title and Commencement (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code (Amendment) Act, 2003. In the Representation of the People Act, 1951,-- (a) in section 26, sub-section (5) shall be omitted; (b) in section 78, sub-section (2) shall be omitted. Section 4 - Repeal and saving (1) The Representation of the People (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003(Ord. 5 of 2003) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Representation of the People Act, 1950(43 of 1950) and the Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951) as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the said Acts, as amended by this Act.
