THE TRIPURA GENERAL CLAUSES ACT, 1966 Tripura Act No. 5 of 1966 THE TRIPURA GENERAL CLAUSES ACT, 1966 (ACT No. 5 of 1966) [8.10.66] An Act to provide for the application of the General Clauses Act, 1897, for the interpretation of the Acts of the Legislature of the Union Territory of Tripura. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Tripura in the Seven-tenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title, and extent and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Tripura General Clauses Act, 1966. (2) It extends to the whole of the (Submitted by the North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) (Tripura) Adaptation of Laws Order, 1973, w.e.f. 21.1.1972.) [State of Tripura. (3) It shall come into force at once. General Clauses Act, 1897, to apply to Acts of the Legislative Assembly of Tripura. Central Act 10 of 1897. 2. Unless the context otherwise requires, the General Clauses Act, 1897, shall apply for the interpretation of the Acts of the Legislature of the (Substituted. Ibid.) Jawaharlal Nehru University Act, 1966 Complete Act
