Juvenile Justice Act, 1986 [Repealed] Section 51

Title: Contribution by Parents

.....maintain the juvenile to contribute to his maintenance, if able to do so, in the prescribed manner. (2) The competent authority before making any order under subsection (1) shall inquire into the circumstances of the parent of other person liable to maintain the juvenile and shall record evidence, if any, in the presence of the parent or such other person, as the case may be. (3) The person liable to maintain a juvenile shall, for the purposes of sub-section (1), include in the case of illegitimacy, his putative father: Provided that where the juvenile is illegitimate and an order for his maintenance has been made under Sec. 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), the competent authority shall not ordinarily make an order for contribution against the putative father, but may order the whole or any part of the sums accruing due under the said order for maintenance to be paid to such person as may be named by the competent authority and such sum shall be paid by him towards the maintenance of the juvenile. (4) Any order made under this section may be enforced in the same manner as an order under Sec. 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974)......

Bombay Children Act, 1948, (Maharashtra) Section 90

.....offender is illegitimate and an order for his maintenance has been made under section 488 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 18982, the court shall not ordinarily make an order for contribution against the putative father but may order the whole or any part of the payments accruing due under the said order for maintenance to such person or persons as may be named to be applied by him or them, as the case may be, towards the maintenance of the child or youthful offender. (5) Any order under this section may be enforced in the same manner as an order under section 488 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898.2 ________________ 1. JUVENILE JUSTICE ACT, 1986 JUVENILE JUSTICE ACT, 1986 53 of 1986 An Act to provide for the care, protection, treatment, development and rehabilitation of neglected or delinquent juveniles and for the adjudication of certain matters relating to, and disposition of, delinquent juveniles. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Thirty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called The Juvenile Justice Act, 1986. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (3) It shall come into force on such date1as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and for different States. THE CHILDREN ACT, 1960 THE CHILDREN ACT, 1960 [Act No. 60 of 1960 dated 26th. December, 1960] 1 An Act to provide for the care, protection, maintenance, welfare, training, education and rehabilitation of neglected or delinquent children and for the trial of delinquent children in the Union territories. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Eleventh Year of 'the Republic of India as follows: - CHAPTER I: PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Children Act, 1960. (2) It extends to all the Union territories.
