THE KERALA HIGH COURT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1989 THE KERALA HIGH COURT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1989 (ACT 36 OF 1989) An Act further to amend the Kerala High Court Act, 1958. Preamble." WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Kerala High Court Act, 1958, for the purpose hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Fortieth Year of Republic of India as follows: " 1. Short title and commencement . " (1) This Act may be called the Kerala High Court (Amendment) Act, 1989, (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of Section 3. " In section 3 of the Kerala High Court Act, 1958 (5 of 1959), in sub-clause (b) of clause (13), for the words "ten thousand rupees", the wor ds "one lakh rupees" shall be substituted.
