Public Interest Disclosure (Protection of Informers) Act, 2002 Section 2

Title: Definitions

.....which is subject to the control of the Central Government and which is notified by that Government in this behalf in the Official Gazette; (i) "victimisation" with all its grammatical variations, in relation to a public servant other than a Minister, shall include - (A) suspension pending inquiry, transfer, dilution or withdrawal of duties, powers and responsibilities, recording adverse entries in the service records, issue of memos, verbal abuse, all classes of major or minor punishment specified in the disciplinary rules, orders or regulations applicable to such public servant and such other type of harassment; (B) any of the acts referred to in sub clause (A) whether committed by the person against whom a disclosure is made or by any other person or public authority at his instance.

Securities and Exchange Board of India (Amendment) Act, 2002 Section 11

Title: Substitution of New Section for Section 15c

For section 15C of the principal Act, the following section shall be substituted, namely:-- "15C. If any listed company or any person who is registered as an intermediary, after having been called upon by the Board in writing, to redress the grievances of investors, fails to redress such grievances within the time specified by the Board, such company or intermediary shall be liable to a penalty of one lakh rupees for each day during which such failure continues or one crore rupees, whichever is less.".

Title: Penalty for failure to redress investors' grievances

In section 15D of the principal Act,-- (i) in clause (a), for the words "a penalty not exceeding ten thousand rupees for each day during which he carries on any such collective investment scheme including mutual funds, or ten lakh rupees, whichever is higher", the words "a penalty of one lakh rupees for each day during which he sponsors or carries on any such collective investment scheme including mutual funds, or one crore rupees, whichever is less" shall be substituted; (ii) in clause (b), for the words "a penalty not exceeding ten thousand rupees for each day during which such failure continues or ten lakh rupees, whichever is higher", the words "a penalty of one lakh rupees for each day during which such failure continues or one crore rupees, whichever is less" shall be substituted; (iii) in clause (c), for the words "a penalty not exceeding five thousand rupees for each day during which such failure continues or five lakh rupees, whichever is higher", the words "a penalty of one lakh rupees for each day during which such failure continues or one crore rupees, whichever is less" shall be substituted; (iv) in clause (d), for the words "a penalty not exceeding one.....

Haj Committee Act, 2002 Chapter V

.....of Committee to be public servants The officers and employees of the Committees and other persons duly appointed to discharge any duty under this Act or rules or bye-laws made thereunder, shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of Section 21 of the Indian Penal Code. Section 40 - Idemnity No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Chairperson, Vice-Chairpersons or any member of the Committee or a State Committee in respect of anything in good faith done or purporting to have been done under this Act, except with the prior permission of the Central or State Government, as the case may be. Section 41 - Power to amend Schedule (1) If the Central Government is satisfied that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may by notification published in the Official Gazette, amend the Schedule and thereupon the Schedule shall be deemed to have been amended accordingly. (2) A copy of every notification made under Sub-section (1) shall be laid before each House of Parliament as soon as may be after it is made. Haj Committee Act, 2002 Section 42

Title: Redressal of Grievances

Any Haj pilgrim, who is aggrieved by the discharge of any of the duties performed by the Haj Committee or the State Haj Committee, shall make a representation for the redressal of his grievance to the Haj Committee or the State Haj Committee, as the case may be, and the same shall be disposed of by the said Committee, if necessary, after hearing the aggrieved person.

.....Member thereof, if he" (i) is or becomes subject to any of the disqualifications specified inSection 12 -; or (ii) refuses to act or is incapable of acting or acts in a manner which the Central Government, after hearing any explanation that he may offer, considers to be prejudicial to the interests of the Committee or the interests of the pilgrims; or (iii) fails, in the opinion of the Committee, to attend three consecutive meetings of the Committee, without sufficient excuse. .....and Development Authority Act, 1999 (41 of 1999) or the Insurance Rules, 1939 shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in those Acts or the rules. Regulation 3 Point of Sale (1) Notwithstanding anything mentioned in Regulation 2(e) above, a prospectus of any insurance product shall clearly state the scope of benefits, the extent of insurance cover and in an explicit manner explain the warranties, exceptions and conditions of the insurance cover and, in case of life insurance, whether the product is participating (with profits) or non-participating (without profits). The allowable rider or riders on the product shall be clearly spelt out with regard to their scope of benefits, and in no case, the premium relatable to all the riders put together shall exceed 30% of the premium of the main product. Explanation. The rider or riders attached to a life policy shall bear the nature and character of the main policy, viz. participating or non-participating and accordingly the life insurer shall make provisions, etc. in its books. (2) An insurer or its agent or other intermediary shall provide all material information in respect of a proposed cover to the prospect.....
