THE HIMACHAL PRADESH REPEALING ACT, 1978 THE HIMACHAL PRADESH REPEALING ACT, 1978 [Act No. 26 of 1978] [18th May, 1978] An Act to repeal certain enactments. It is hereby enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Twenty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- ------------------------ 1 For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see R.H.P. Extra., dated 8-4-1978, p. 330. ------------------------- Section 1 - Short title This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Repealing Act, 1978. Section 2 - Repeal or certain enactments The enactments specified in the Schedule hereto, except the Himachal Pradesh Land Holdings Tax Act, 1974 (21 of 1974), shall stand repealed from the date of commencement of this Act and the Himachal Pradesh Land Holdings Tax Act, 1974 (21 of 1974), shall be deemed to have been repealed with effect from the 1st day of April, 1976.
