.....4 For the purposes of heading 7113, the processes of affixing or embossing trade name or brand name on articles of jewellery shall amount to 'manufacture'. SUB-HEADING NOTES 1. For the purposes of sub-headings 7106 10, 7108 11, 7110 11, 7110 21, 7110 31 and 7110 41, the expressions "powder" and "in powder form" mean products of which 90% or more by weight passes through a sieve having a mesh aperture of 0.5 mm. 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter Note 5 [4(B)], for the purposes of sub-head-ings 7110 11 and 7110 19, the expression "platinum" does not include iridium, osmium, palladium, rhodium or ruthenium. 3. For theclassification of alloys in the sub-headings of heading 7110, each alloy is to beclassified with that metal, platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, osmium or ruthenium which predominates by weight over each other of these metals. .....(5) Section 7 of the Bombay General Clauses Act, 1904, shall apply upon the expiry of this Act, as if it had then been repealed by a Maharashtra Act. SECTION 02: DEFINITION In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires - (a) ˜Flat" means a separate and self-contained set of premises used or intended to be used for residence, or office, show-room or shop or godown for carrying on any industry or business] (and includes a garage), the premises forming part of a building 2[and includes an apartment]. Throughout this Schedule, the term ' man made fibres' means staple fibres and filaments of organic polymers produced by manufacturing processes either: (a) by polymerisation of organic monomers to produce polymers such as polyamides, polyesters, polyolefins or polyurethanes, or by chemical modification of polymers produced by this process (for example, poly(whyl alcohol) prepared by the hydrolysis of poly(vinyl acetate)); or (b) by dissolution or chemical treatment of natural organic polymers (for example, cellulose) to produce polymers such as cuprammonium rayon (cupro) or viscose rayon, or by chemical modification of natural organic polymers (for example, cellulose, casein and other proteins, or alginic acid), to produce polymers such as cellulose acetate or alginates.
