In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 16 of the Delhi Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 1986 (Act No. 56 of 1986), the Administrator of the Union Territory of Delhi is pleased to make the following rules, namely: Rule1 Short Title, Extent and Commencement (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Rules, 1987. (2) They extend to the whole' of the Union Territory of Delhi. (3) They shall come into force at once. Rule2 Definitions In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires; (1) 'Act' means the Delhi Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 1986. (2) 'Forms' means 'forms' appended to these rules. (3) The words and expressions used in the Act and not defined in these rules shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act. Rule3 Nominated Authority Appointment of any persons as 'nominated authority' shall be made in consultation with Chief Fire Officer who will also prescribe the jurisdiction within which such person shall function . (2) No labour performed or material furnished with the consent, or at the request, of an apartment owner or his agent or his contractor or subcontractor, shall be the basis for a charge or any encumbrance under the provisions ofthe Transfer of Property Act, 1882 (4 of 1882)-, against the apartment or property of any other apartment owner not expressly consenting to, or requesting the same, except that such express consent shall be deemed to be given by the other apartment owner in the case of emergency repairs thereto. THE SIKKIM WATER SUPPLY AND WATER TAX ACT, 1986 THE SIKKIM WATER SUPPLY AND WATER TAX ACT, 1986 (ACT NO.8 OF 1986) AN ACT To provide for regulation of the supply of water, realization of charges for supply of water and tax on water and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Thirty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows: Short title, extent and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Water Supply and Water Tax Act, 1986. (2) It extends to the whole of Sikkim.
