Civil Defence Act, 1968 Complete Act

.....thereunder or any order made under this Act or any such rule shall have effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in any enactment other than this Act or in any instrument having effect by virtue of any enactment other than this Act. (2) Every appointment, order or rule made in relation to civil defence before the commencement of this Act by or under any law relating to civil defence shall, in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, continue to be in force until it is rescinded or altered under this Act, and be deemed to have been made under the corresponding provisions of this Act. SECTION 13: ORDINARY AVOCATIONS OF LIFE TO BE INTERFERED WITH AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE Any authority or person acting in pursuance of the Act shall interfere with the ordinary avocations of life and the enjoyment of property as little as may be consonant with the purpose of ensuring the public safety and civil defence. SECTION 14: SAVINGS AS TO ORDERS (1) No order made in exercise of any power conferred by or under this Act shall be called in question in any Court. Border Security Force Act, 1968 Chapter III

.....to this Act who deserts or attemps to desert the service shall, on conviction by a Security Force Court,-- (a) if he commits the offence when on active duty or when under order for active duty, be liable to suffer death or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned; and (b) if he commits the offence under any other circumstances, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned. (2) Any person subject to this Act who knowingly harbours any such deserter shall, on conviction by a Security Force Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned. Border Security Force Act, 1968 Section 33

Title: Injury to Property

Any person subject to this Act who commits any of the following offences, that is to say,-- (a) destroys or injures any property mentioned in clause (a) of section 32, or any property belonging to any Force mess, band or institution, or to any person subject to this Act; or (b) commits any act which causes damage to, or destruction of, any property of the Government by fire; or (c) kills, injures, makes away with, ill-treats or loses any, animal entrusted to him, shall, on conviction by a Security Force Court, be liable, if he has acted wilfully to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years or such less punishment as is in Act mentioned; and if he has acted without reasonable excuse, to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.
