(7) "building of the warehouse class" means a building, the whole or a substantial part of which is used, or intended to be used, as a warehouse, factory, manufactory, brewery, or distillery, or for any similar purpose, which is neither a "domestic building" nor a "public building" as defined in this section, and includes a hut used or intended to be used for any of the purposes mentioned in this clause; (8) "bustee" means an area containing land not less than seven hundred square metres in area occupied by or for the purposes of any collection of huts or other structures used or intended to be used for human habitation. SECTION 03: INCORPORATION OF THE INSTITUTE (1) All persons whose names are entered in the register of the dissolved company immediately before the commencement of this Act and all persons who may hereafter have their names entered in the register to be maintained under this Act, so long as they continue to have their names borne on.....

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and Commencement.-- (1) This Act may be called the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) and Financial Institutions Laws (Amendment) Act, 2006. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint: Provided that different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision. (4) Unless otherwise expressly provided by this Act, all contracts, deeds, bonds, agreements, powers of attorney, grants of legal representation and other instruments of whatever nature subsisting or having effect immediately before the commencement of this Act and to which the existing bank is a party or which are in favour of the existing bank shall be of full force and effect against or in favour of the corresponding new bank, and may be enforced or acted upon as fully and effectually as if in the place of the existing bank the corresponding new bank had been a party thereto or as if they had been issued in favour of the corresponding new bank. (5) If, immediately before the commencement of this Act, any suit, appeal or other proceeding of whatever nature in relation to any business of the undertaking which has been transferred under section 4-, is pending by or against the existing bank, the same shall not abate, be discontinued or be in any way, prejudicially affected by reason of the transfer of the undertaking of the existing bank or of anything contained in this Act but.....

Amendment of section 11.- In sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Madras Commercial Crops Markets Act, 1933 (Madras Act XX of 1933) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), as in force in the Malabar district referred to in sub-section (2) of section 5 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 (Central Act 37 of 1956), for the Table, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:- "TABLE Name of commercial crop Rates (1) (2) 1. Arecanut One rupee and fifty paise for every quintal of cured arecanuts or part thereof. Ten paise for every 1000 ripe or soaked arecanuts or part thereof 2. Coconut and its products One rupee and fifty paise for every 1000 coconuts part thereof One rupee and fifty paise for every quintal of by- products (copra or desiccated coconuts) or part thereof". 3. Repeal and saving .-(1) The Madras Commercial Crops Markets (Amendment) Ordinance, 1980 (7 of 1980), is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance.....
