Title: Declaration as to Expediency of Control by the Union

It is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that the Central Government should take under its control the regulation and development of the inter-State Brahmaputra river valley to the extent hereinafter provided.

(7) "building of the warehouse class" means a building, the whole or a substantial part of which is used, or intended to be used, as a warehouse, factory, manufactory, brewery, or distillery, or for any similar purpose, which is neither a "domestic building" nor a "public building" as defined in this section, and includes a hut used or intended to be used for any of the purposes mentioned in this clause; (8) "bustee" means an area containing land not less than seven hundred square metres in area occupied by or for the purposes of any collection of huts or other structures used or intended to be used for human habitation. .....26: MEMBERS, OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE BOARD TO BE PUBLIC SERVANTS All members, officers and employees of the Board shall be deemed, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any of the provisions of this Act, to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code- SECTION 27: PROTECTION OF ACTION TAKEN IN GOOD FAITH (1) No suit, prosecution or other legal proceedings shall lie against the Government or any officer of the Government or any member, officer or employee of the Board for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act or the role* or regulation. .....Dissolution of Osmanabad and Parbhani Zilla Parishads and appointment of administrators :- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the principal Act or any rules, regulations or bye-laws made or notifications issued under thereunder, on the appointed date, the Osmanabad Zilla Parishad and the Parbhani Zilla Parishad shall stand dissolved.
