Title: Search of Place Entered by Person Sought to Be Arrested

.....such free ingress thereto, and afford all reasonable facilities for a search therein. Title: Power to Enter Land Adjoining Land Where Work is in Progress

(1) Any person authorised by the Government in this behalf may, with or without assistants or workmen, enter on any land within forty-five meters of any work authorised by or under this Act for the purpose of depositing thereon any soil, gravel, stone or other materials, or for obtaining access to such work or for any other purpose connected with the carrying on of the same. (2) The person so authorised shall, before entering on any land under sub-section (1), state the purpose thereof, and shall, if so required by the occupier or owner, fence off so much of the land as may be required for such purpose. (3) The person so authorised shall, in exercising any power conferred by this section, do as little damage, as may be and compensation shall be payable by the Government to the owner or occupier of such land or to both for any such damage whether permanent or temporary in accordance with such rules as may be made.

Title: Power of Police Officer and Other Officers to Enter, Search, Etc.

(1) Where the accused is not acquitted under section 232 he shall be called upon to enter on his defence and adduce any evidence he may have in support thereof. (2) If the accused puts in any written statement, the Judge shall file it with the record. (3) If the accused applies for the issue of any process for compelling the attendance of any witness or the production of any document or thing, the Judge shall issue such process unless he considers, for reasons to be recorded, that such application should be refused on the ground that it is made for the purpose of vexation or delay or for defeating the ends of justice.

.....believing that an examination of his person will afford evidence as to the commission of an offence, it shall be lawful for a registered medical practitioner, acting at the request of a police officer not below the rank of sub-inspector, and for any person acting in good faith in his aid and under his direction, to make such an examination of the person arrested as is reasonably necessary in order to ascertain the facts which may afford such evidence, and to use such force as is reasonably for that purpose.
