Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 Schedule 2

Any Contracting State which avails itself of this right will notify the Secretary-General of the League of Nations in order that the other Contracting States may be so informed. 2. The arbitral procedure, including the constitution of the Arbitral Tribunal, shall be governed by the will of the parties and by the law of the country in whose territory the arbitration takes place. The Contracting States agree to facilitate all steps in the procedure which require to be taken in their own territories, in accordance with the provisions of their law governing arbitral procedure applicable to existing differences. 3. Bombay Municipal Servants Act, 1890, (Maharashtra) Section 3

Title: Conditions as to Resignation, Withdrawal and Absence for Specified Duties

.....of pay due for a term of not more than one month, and in addition to such forfeiture and any other penalty which may be imposed on him under any enactment or rule for the time being in force, shall be liable, on conviction, by a Magistrate, to imprisonment which may extend to three months or to fine, or to both imprisonment and fine: Provided that if any such officer, servant or other person produces a certificate signed by the medical officer appointed in the City of Bombay by the Commissioner, and elsewhere by the Municipality in this behalf of a present incapacity to perform his duties which will probably endure for a month or more, the necessary permission to resign shall forthwith be granted: Provided further that no fee shall be taken from a person on account of such certificate as aforesaid or of examination in connection therewith. Jute Companies (Nationalisation) Act, 1980 Complete Act

.....structure. Each of these mills had a negative net worth on the date of take over. The performance of these mills after take-over has not been satisfactory. The reports, drawn up mostly by the financial institutions and considered at inter-departmental meetings, had clearly stated that the operations of these mills are bound to remain unsatisfactory unless immediate steps are taken for modernisation of the plant and machinery. This called for further heavy investment of public funds. It was felt that further heavy investment of public funds should be preceded by some arrangement which ensured continuity of the management of the mills with the Government. Taking all the factors into account, it was felt that the process of nationalisation appeared to be the most appropriate solution to the problems of the mills taken over. 4. The Bill provides for the nationalisation of these mills and for other incidental matters.-See Gaz. of India, 1-12-1980, Pt. II, sec. 2., Ext., p. 1165.
