Section 12 - Construction of references to District Court, the Court of the Civil Judge, Munsiff's Court, District Judge, Civil Judge and Munsiff in other laws (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any law but except where the context otherwise requires any reference in any law for the time being in force in the city of Bangalore, to District Court, Court of Civil Judge or Munsiff's Court or to District Judge, Civil Judge or Munsiff shall in the city of Bangalore be construed as a reference to the City Civil Court or a Judge of the City Civil Court, as the case may be, and such law shall, have effect accordingly. (2) Where immediately prior to the appointed date, under any law in force in the city of Bangalore,1[the Jurisdiction and powers] of a tribunal or any other authority,- (a) are exercised by the District Court or the Court.....

Act 21 of 1987- When the Coconut Development Board Act was enacted in 1979. horticultural and plantation crops were handled in the Crops Division headed by the Agriculture Commissioner in the Department of Agriculture and Co-operation and. accordingly, he was included as ex officio member of the Board. With the importance that the horticultural programmes have acquired and their contribution to the national economy, a separate full-fledged Division, known us Horticulture Division, headed by the Horticulture Commissioner, has been established. As the work of coconut development at the national level and that of the Coconut Development Board is being looked after by the Horticulture Commissioner, it is necessary that he may be made an ex officio member of the Board in place of the Agriculture Commissioner for taking effective participation in the activities of the Board by amending the Act. 2. .....THE PUNJAB WOMEN AND CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE CORPORATION ACT, 1979 THE PUNJAB WOMEN AND CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE CORPORATION ACT, 1979 [Act No. 19 of 1979] [November 28, 1979] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the establishment of the Punjab Women and Children Development and Welfare Corporation. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India, as follows :- Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Women and Children Development and Welfare Corporation Act. 1979. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 10th day of October, 1979. Section 2 - Definitions In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context, - (a) "bank" means - (i) a banking company as defined in clause (c) of section 5 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (Central Act 10 of 1949); (ii) the State Bank of India constituted under the State Bank of India Act, 1955 (Central Act 23 of 1956); (iii) a subsidiary bank as defined in the State Bank of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, 1959 (Central Act 38 of 1959); (iv) a corresponding new bank.....

Title: Dissolution of the Board

.....in the notification; Provided that before issuing any such notification, the Central Government shall give a reasonable opportunity to the Board to make representations against the proposed dissolution and shall consider the representations, if any, of the Board. (2) When the Board is dissolved under the provisions of sub-section (1)- (a) all members not withstanding that their term of office has not expired shall from the date of dissolution, vacate their offices as such member; (b) all powers and duties of the Board shall, during the period of dissolution be exercised and performed by such person or persons as the Central Government may appoint in this behalf and their remuneration shall be such as may be prescribed; (c) all funds and other properties vested in the Board shall, during the period of dissolution vest in the Central Government; and (d) as soon as the period of dissolution expires, the Board shall be reconstituted in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

Title: Management of the Undertakings of the Two Companies to Vest in Central Government

(4) All persons in charge of the management including persons holding offices as directors, managers or any other managerial personnel of each of the two companies immediately before the appointed day shall be deemed to have vacated their offices as such on the appointed day. (5) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, no person in force, no person in respect of whom any contract of management or other arrangement is terminated by reason of the provisions contained in sub-section (3) or who ceases to hold any office by claim any the provisions contained in sub-section (4), shall be entitled to claim any compensation for the premature termination of the contract of management or other arrangement or for the loss of office, as the case may be.
