The Orissa Bhoodan and Gramdan Act, 1970 Complete Act

.....of property both moveable and immoveable and may, by the said name, sue or be sued. (Substituted by the Orisw Bhoodan and Gramdan (Amendment) Act, 1977 (Or. Act 4 of 1977), S. 2.) [4. Composition of the Samiti. (1) The Samiti shall consist of a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman and nine other members to be appointed by the State Government. ] (2) The appointment of the Chairman, the Vice- Chairman and the other members of the Samiti shall be notified in the Gazette. (3) The Chairman shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed. (4) The Vice-Chairman shall exercise such powers and perform such functions of the Chairman as the Chairman may, from time to time, delegate to him in writing in that behalf and he shall also exercise the powers and perform the functions of the Chairman during his absence. 5. Term of Office. Every member of the Samiti, including the Chairman and Vice-Chairman shall hold office for a term of four years from the date of notification of his appointment, and shall be eligible for reappointment. .....not disclose any matters which are by the provisions of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (10 of 1949), read with the relevant provisions of this Act or any other Act, not required to be disclosed. Title: Supersession of Board in Certain Cases

.....Government shall be such as may be specified by the Central Government and be payable by the concerned corresponding new bank. (8) On and before the expiration of two months before expiry of the period of supersession of the Board of Directors as specified in the order issued under subsection (1), the Administrator of the corresponding new bank, shall call the general meeting of the corresponding new bank to elect new directors and reconstitute its Board of Directors. (9) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law or in any contract, the memorandum or articles of association, no person shall be entitled to claim any compensation for the loss or termination of his office. Title: Removal of Chairman from Office

.....terminated or until his remuneration, terms or conditions are duly altered by the corresponding new bank. (3) For the persons who immediately before the commencement of this Act were the trustees for any pension, provident, gratuity or other like fund constituted for the officers or other employees of an existing bank, there shall be substituted as trustees such persons as the Central Government may, by general or special order, specify. (4) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), or in any other law for the time being in force, the transfer of the services of any officer or other employee from an existing bank to a corresponding new bank shall not entitle such officer or other employee to any compensation under this Act or any other law for the time being in force and no such claim shall be entertained by any court, Tribunal or other authority.

Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 Chapter II

Title: The Central Council and Its Committees

.....amongst its members such other committees for general or special purposes as the Central Council deems necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act. Section 11 - Meetings of committees (1) The committees constituted under sections 9 and 10 shall meet at least once in each year at such time and place as may be appointed by the Central Council. Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 Section 7

Title: Term of Office of President, Vice-president and Members of Central Council

.....without excuse, sufficient in the opinion of the Central Council, from three consecutive ordinary meetings of the Central Council or, in the case of a member elected under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 3, if he ceases to be enrolled on the concerned State Register of Indian Medicine, or in the case of a member elected under clause (b) of that sub-section, if he ceases to be a member of the Faculty or Department (by whatever name called) of Indian Medicine of the University concerned, (3) A casual vacancy in the Central Council shall be filled by election or nomination, as the case may be, and the person elected or nominated to fill the vacancy shall hold office only for the remainder of the term for which the member whose place he takes was elected or nominated. (4) Members of the Central Council shall be eligible for re-election or renomination. (5) Where the said term of five years is about to expire in respect of any member, a successor may be elected or nominated at any time within three months before the said term expires but he shall not assume office until the said term has expired.
