Karnataka Police Act, 1963 Section 30

Title: Occupation of and Liability to Vacate Premises Provided for Police Officers

State: Karnataka

Year: 1963

(1) Any Police Officer occupying any premises provided by the Government for his residence,-- (a) shall occupy the same subject to such conditions and terms as may, generally or in special cases, be specified by the Government, and (b) shall, notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, vacate the same on his ceasing to be a Police Officer, or whenever the Government in this behalf thinks it necessary and expedient to require him to do so. (2) If any person who is bound or required under sub-section (1), to vacate any premises fails to do so, the Government or any officer authorised by it in this behalf may order such person to vacate the premises and may direct any Police Officer with such assistance as may be necessary to enter upon the premises and remove therefrom any person found therein and to take possession of the premises and deliver the same to any person specified in the direction.

Title: Vacation of Office of Trustees

(1) The Central Government shall remove a Trustee if he-- (a) becomes subject to any of the disqualifications mentioned in section 6; or 1[(aa) has, in the opinion of the Central Government, ceased to represent the interest by virtue of which he was appointed or elected; or] (b) refuses to act or becomes incapable of acting; or (c) is, without the permission of the Board previously obtained, absent from six consecutive ordinary meetings of the Board; or (d) is absent from the meetings of the Board for a period exceeding six consecutive months; or (e) acts in contravention of the provisions of section 19. (2) A Trustee may resign his office by giving notice in writing to the Chairman who shall forward the same to the Central Government, and on such resignation being accepted by that Government he shall be deemed to have vacated his office. ________________________ 1. Title: Vacation and Resignation of Office of Trustee

(1) If a trustee-- (a) becomes subject to any of the disqualifications mentioned in Section 12; or (b) is absent without leave of the Board from more than three consecutive meetings thereof; or (c) being a trustee elected or deemed to be elected under Cl. (e) of Section 90 becomes an officer or other employee of Government or of the Reserve Bank,1[or of the Development Bank] State Bank, a subsidiary bank or the Trust; his office shall thereupon become vacant. (2) A trustee nominated under Cl. (b) of Section 10 who is not an officer of the Reserve Bank2[or of the Development Bank] or a trustee elected or deemed to be elected under Cl. (e) of that section may by letter addressed to the Board resign his office and on such resignation being accepted by the Board shall be deemed to have vacated his office. ______________________ 1. (1) If a director (a) becomes subject to any of the disqualifications mentioned in 12; or (b) is absent without leave of the Board from more than three consecutive meetings thereof, his seat shall thereupon become vacant. .....for further service in the Police, the necessary written permission to resign shall forthwith be granted to him on his discharging or giving satisfactory security for the payment of any debt due by him as such Police Officer to the Government or to any Police Fund. Title: Supervision and Control of Central Government

.....at any time before the expiration of the period of supersession, whetheras originally specified under sub-section (1) or as extended under thissub-section, take action under clause (b) or clause (c) of this sub-section.
