Title: Settlement of Issues and Determination of Suit on Issues of Law or on Issues Agreed Upon

.....proposition of fact or law is affirmed by the one party and denied by the other. (2) Material propositions are those propositions of law or fact which a plaintiff must allege in order to show a right to sue or a defendant must allege in order to constitute his defence. (3) Each material proposition affirmed by one party and denied by the other shall form the subject of a distinct issue. (4) issues are of two kinds: (a) issues of fact, (b) issues of law. Title: Suits Involving a Substantial Question of Law as to the Interpretation of the Constitution or as to the Validity of Any Statutory Instrument

Registration Act, 1908 Amending Act 1

Title: Registration and Other Related Laws (Amendment) Act, 2001

Insertion of new section 16A - In the Registration Act, 1908 (16 of 1908) (hereafter in this Chapter referred to as the Registration Act), after section 16, the following section shall be inserted, namely: -- "16A. Keeping of books in computer floppies, diskettes, etc. -- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 16, the books provided under sub-section (1) of that section may also be kept in computer floppies or diskettes or in any other electronic form in the manner and subject to the safeguards as may be prescribed by the Inspector-General with the sanction of the State Government. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or in any other law for the time being in force, a copy or extracts from the books kept under sub-section (1) given by the registering officer under his hand and seal shall be deemed to be a copy given under section 57 for the purposes of sob-section (5) of that section." 3. Indian Ports Act, 1908 Section 12

Title: Removal of Lawful Obstructions

(1) If any obstruction or impediment to the navigation of any port subject to this Act has been lawfully made or has become lawful by reason of the long continuance of such obstruction or impediment, or otherwise, the conservator shall report the same for the information of the1[Government], and shall, with the sanction of2[the Government], cause the same to be removed or altered, making reasonable compensation to the person suffering damage by such removal or alteration. (2) Any dispute arising concerning such compensation shall be determined according to the law relating to like disputes in the case of land required for public purposes. __________________________ 1. Registration Act, 1908 Section 39

Title: Law as to Summonses, Commissions and Witnesses
