THE WOMEN'S AND CHILDREN'S INSTITUTIONS (LICENSING) ACT, 1956 [Act, No. 105 of 1956] [30th December, 1956] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the licensing of institutions for women and children and for matters incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:

Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 Complete Act

Delhi Police Act, 1978 Complete Act

.....for further service in the police, the appointing authority shall forthwith permit him to withdraw from duty on his discharging, or giving a satisfactory security for the payment of any debt due from him as such police officer to Government or to any police fund : Provided that he shall forthwith return the certificate of appointment, arms, accoutrements, uniform and all other Government property in his possession before he is permitted to withdraw from duty. Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 Complete Act

Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporation Act, 1949 Complete Act

Calcutta Hackney Carriage Act, 1919 Complete Act

.....shall be released forthwith : Provided also that any carriage so removed shall be released on the owner thereof furnishing security to the satisfaction of the officer-in-charge of the police-station for the production of the carriage when required. (3) Any carriage seized under sub-section (2) which is not released under the second proviso thereto, may be detained at the police-station or sent to the Registration Office and detained there, until any fine imposed by the Magistrate has been paid. (4) If hackney-carriage so seized be not claimed and if any fine imposed be not paid, together with any costs or charges incurred, within fifteen days of such seizure or imposition of such fine, respectively, such carriage may be sold by auction, after previous advertisement of such auction, and the sale-proceeds applied to the payment of the fine and all costs and charges incurred on account of the detention and sale. (5) The surplus, if any, if not claimed by the owner within a further period of one month, shall be credited and applied in the same manner as fees and fines realized under this Act. Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 Complete Act

.....Committee appointed by the Legislative Assembly was of the opinion that a more comprehensive measure, providing for the uniform control of manufacture and distribution of drugs as well as of import, was desirable. The Government of India accordingly asked Provincial Governments to invite the Provincial Legislatures to pass resolutions under section 103 of the Government of India Act, 1935, empowering the Central Legislature to pass an Act for regulating such matters relating to the control of drugs as fall within the Provincial Legislative list. Such resolutions have now been passed by all Provincial Legislatures. Chapter II of the Bill establishes a Board of Technical Experts to advise the Central and the Provincial Governments on technical matters. Chapter III provides for the control of the import of drugs into British India. The executive power under this Chapter will accordingly be exercised by the Central Government. Chapter IV relates to control of the manufacture, sale and distribution of drugs and contains the provisions which it is proposed should be enacted in exercise of the power conferred by the resolutions under section 103 of the Government of India Act,.....
