ASSAM HIGHWAYS ACT, 1989 ASSAM HIGHWAYS ACT, 1989 [ Act No. 18 of 1995] [ 22nd August, 1995] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the regulation of road development and Road transport in State of Assam Whereas it is expedient to provide generally for the regulation of road development and road transport so as secure for the public such conditions as will ensure the maximum efficiency of all means of road along roads, in the State of Assam. It is hereby enacted in the Fortieth year of the Republic of India as follows, namely : Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Assam Highways Act, 1989. (2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Assam. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint. THE MAHARASHTRA SALES TAX ON THE TRANSFER OF PROPERTY IN GOODS INVOLVED IN THE EXECUTION OF WORKS CONTRACTS (RE-ENACTED) ACT, 1989 THE MAHARASHTRA SALES TAX ON THE TRANSFER OF PROPERTY IN GOODS INVOLVED IN THE EXECUTION OF WORKS CONTRACTS (RE-ENACTED) ACT, 1989 CHAPTER I-PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT :- (1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Sales Tax on the Transfer of property in goods involved in the execution of Works Contracts (Re-enacted) Act, 1989. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the lst October 1986'. SECTION 02: DEFINITIONS .
