An Act to provide for the preservation of ancient and historical monuments, archaeological sites and remains other than those of national importance, for the regulation of archaeological excavations and for the protection of sculptures, carvings and other like objects. BEit enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Twenty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- 1. Short title, extent and commencement .-(1) This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1976. (2) It extends to the whole of Himachal Pradesh. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification appoint.....

.....believing that an examination of his person will afford evidence as to the commission of an offence, it shall be lawful for a registered medical practitioner, acting at the request of a police officer not below the rank of sub-inspector, and for any person acting in good faith in his aid and under his direction, to make such an examination of the person arrested as is reasonably necessary in order to ascertain the facts which may afford such evidence, and to use such force as is reasonably for that purpose. Short title.- These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Officers (Pay Fixation) Rules, 2003. 2.
