Title: Powers of State Government to Give Direction to a Licensee in Regard to the Supply of Energy to Certain Class of Consumers

.....to supply energy to such establishment on the same terms andconditions as are specified in the agreement until he receives a notice inwriting from the establishment requiring him to discontinue the supply. (4) Notwithstanding anythingcontained in this Act, or in the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948 (54 of 1948), or in his license or in anyagreement entered into by himfor the supply of energy, a licensee shall be bound to comply with anydirection given tohim under subsection(1) and any action taken by him in pursuance of any suchdirection shall not be deemed to be a contravention of section 23. _________________________ 1. Appointment of Electrical Inspector (1) The appropriate Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint duly qualified persons to be Electrical Inspectors and every Electrical Inspector so appointed shall exercise the powers and perform the functions of an Electrical Inspector under this Act within such areas or in respect of such class of works and electric installations and subject to such restrictions as the appropriate Government may direct. (2) In the absence of express provision to the contrary in this Act, or any rule made thereunder, an appeal shall lie from the decision of an Electrical Inspector to the appropriate Government or if the appropriate Government, by general or special order so directs, to an Advisory Board.] ________________________ 1. An inspector may, subject to such rules as the State Government may make in this behalf,-- (a) enter and search any building, field or other place for the purpose of ascertaining whether there is therein any horse which is affected with dourine; [The word "and" repealed by Act 8 of 1920, section 2.] (b) probit, by order in writing, the owner or keeper of any horse, which in his opinion is affected with dourine, from using such horse for breeding purposes, pending examination by the veterinary practitioner; [Inserted by Act 8 of 1920, section 2]. [(c) direct, by order in writing, the owner or keeper of any horse which, in the opinion of the inspectors, is affected with dourine to remove it or permit it to be removed for the purpose of segregation to a place specified in the order, and such direction shall be sufficient authority for the detention of the horse in that place for that purpose.]

.....DEFINITIONS (1) In this Act, the expression "inspector" and "veterinary practitioner" mean, respectively, the officers appointed as such under this Act, acting within the local limits for which they are so appointed. (2) The provisions of this Act in so far as they relate to entire horses shall, if the4[State Government], by notification as aforesaid, so directs, apply also to entire assess used for mulebreeding purposes. Title: Provision as to the Opening and Breaking Up of Streets, Railways and Tramways
