(1) No court shall take cognizance of any offence under section 132, section 133, section 134 or4[section 135 or section 135A], except with the previous sanction of the1[Commissioner of Customs]. (2) No court shall take cognizance of any offence under section 136,- (a) where the offence is alleged to have been committed by an officer of customs not lower in rank than2[Assistant Commissioner of Customs or Deputy Commissioner of Customs], except with the previous sanction of the Central Government; (b) where the offence is alleged to have been committed by an officer of customs lower in rank than2[Assistant Commissioner of Customssuch compounding or Deputy Commissioner of Customs], except with the previous sanction of the1[Commissioner of Customs]. 3[(3) Any offence under this Chapter may, either before or after the institution of prosecution, be compounded by the Chief Commissioner of Customs on payment, by the person accused of the offence to the Central Government, of 5[such compounding amount and in such manner of compounding] as may be specified by rules.] 6[Provided that nothing contained in this sub-section shall apply to- (a) a person who has been allowed to.....

.....a necessity arises appoint any indigenous Khasi male adult of good moral character, who is a resident and is not employed under any Organisation, to act as Acting Chief when a vacancy occurs. (2) An Acting Syiem or Acting Chief will remain in Office until appointment of a new Syiem or until further order of the Executive Committee whichever is earlier. Composition of the Durbar Hima : - The Durbar Hima shall be the supreme and final authority of the Hima where the Deputy Syiem, the Lyngdoh, the Myntri, the Headmen and some Elders as may be summoned by the Executive Durbar to be the member. An Act to regulate the operation of cable television networks in the country and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-sixth year of the Republic of India as follows: - CHAPTER 1: PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act,1995.
