EMPLOYEES' PROVIDENT FUND ORGANISATION [DEPUTY DIRECTOR (OFFICIAL LANGUAGE)] RECRUITMENT RULES, 1999 Complete Act

.....with any person; shall be eligible for appointment to the said post. Provided that the Central Board may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage & that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. RULE 05: POWER TO RELAX -Where the Central Board is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order for reasons to be recorded in writing, and in consultation with the Ministry of Labour, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. RULE 06: SAVINGS -Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. (1) As from the appointed day and until the first meeting of the Legislative Assembly of a new State other than Kerala, the persons who, immediately before the appointed day, are the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the corresponding State shall, if they are members of the Legislative Assembly of the new State, be the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively of that Assembly. Coroners Act, 1871 Section 38

Title: Power to Appoint Deputy

Every Coroner may from time to time, with the previous sanction of the State Government, appoint, by writing under his hand, a proper person to act for him as his deputy in the holding of inquests {The words "and such deputy shall take and subscribe, before one of the Judges of the High Court, an oath that he will faithfully discharge the duties of office" were rep.by Act 18 of 1873}. All inquests taken and other acts done by any such deputy, under or by virtue of any such appointment, shall be deemed to be the acts of the Coroner appointing him: Revocation of appointment.- Provided that no such deputy shall act for any such Coroner except during the illness of the said Coroner, or during his absence for any lawful and reasonable cause. Exemption from serving on juries.- Every such appointment may at any time be cancelled and revoked by the Coroner by whom it was made.
