(1) thereof have been deleted. 12. The Registrar. (1) The Registrar shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University. The terms and conditions of the service of the Registrar shall be such as may be prescribed by the Ordinances. (2) The Registrar shall be the Secretary of the Court, the Executive Council, the Academic Council, the post Graduate Board, the Under-Graduate Board, the Finance Committee and the Selection Committee but shall not be deemed to be a member to be a member of any of these authorities except that of the Court. COMMENTS This section was originally numbered as S. 15 and is being renumbered as S. 12, after deletion of Ss. 10, 13 and 14 in the original Act, by Assam Act VII of 1971 and the original Ss. 13 and 14 read as follows: "13. Short title and commencement (1) These rules may be called the Assam Private Universities Rules, 2007. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazatte. 2. Definitions In these rules unless the context otherwise requires " (a) "Act" means the Assam Private Universities Act, 2007 (Assam Act No. XII of 2007); (b) "application fee" means the amount deposited by the sponsoring body along with the proposal and project report to establish a university in private sector; (c) "committee" means a committee constituted under sub- section (3) of section 4 and sub-section (2) of section 5; (d) "land" means land meant for the establishment of the main campus of the university but shall not include land on which "off-campus centre" and "study centre" are.....

The Assam Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Vacancies in Services and Posts) Act, 1978 Complete Act
