.....of section 10 to deal in foreign exchange or foreign securities; (d) "Bench" means a Bench of the Appellate Tribunal; (e) "capital account transaction" means a transaction which alters the assets or liabilities, including contingent liabilities, outside India of persons resident in India or assets or liabilities in India of persons resident outside India, and includes transactions referred to in sub-section (3) of section 6; (f) "Chairperson" means the Chairperson of the Appellate Tribunal; (g) "chartered accountant" shall have the meaning assigned to it in clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (38 of 1949); (h) "currency" includes all currency notes, postal notes, postal orders, money orders, cheques, drafts, travellers cheques, letter of credit, bills of exchange and promissory notes, credit cards or such other similar instruments, as may be notified by the Reserve Bank; (i) "currency notes" means and includes cash in the form of coins and bank notes; (j) "current account transaction" means a transaction other than a capital account transaction and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing such transaction.....

FOREIGN EXCHANGE REGULATION ACT, 1973 FOREIGN EXCHANGE REGULATION ACT, 1973 46 of 1973 An Act to consolidate and amend the law regulating certain payments, dealings in foreign exchange and securities, transactions indirectly affecting, foreign exchange and 'the import and export of currency 1[* * *], for the conservation of the foreign exchange resources of the country and the proper utilisation thereof in the interests of the economic development of the country Be it enacted by parliament in the twenty-fourth year of the republic of India as follows :- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT, APPLICATION AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It applies also to all citizens of India outside India and to branches and agencies outside India of companies or bodies corporate, registered or incorporated in India. (4) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf: Provided that different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any such provision to the.....

Title: Payment for Exported Goods

.....can be expected to receive on the sale of the goods in the overseas market. (7) For the purpose of ensuring compliance with the provisions of this section and any order or direction made thereunder, the Reserve Bank or the prescribed authority referred to in sub-section (1) may require any person making any export of goods to which a notification under clause (a) of (hat sub-section applies to exhibit contracts with his foreign buyer or other evidence to show that the full export value of the goods, or, as the case may be, the value which the exporter having regard to the prevailing market conditions, expects to receive on the sale of the goods in the overseas market, has been, or will within the prescribed period, be paid in the prescribed manner. Title: Payment for Exported Goods

.....the period, if any, taken by the Reserve Bank for giving an opportunity to the exporter for making a representation under the first proviso shall be excluded. (2) Where any export of goods to which a notification tinder clause (a) of sub-section (1) applies, has been made, no person shall, except with the permission of the Reserve Bank, do or refrain from doing anything, or take or refrain from taking any action, which has the effect of securing- (A) in a case falling under sub-clause (i) or sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub­section (1),- (a) that payment for the goods- (i) is made otherwise than in the prescribed manner, or (ii) is delayed beyond the period prescribed under clause (a) of sub­section (1), or (b) that the proceeds of sale of the goods exported do not represent the full export value of the goods subject to such deductions, if any, as may be allowed by the Reserve Bank; and

Coal Mines Taking over of Management Act 1973 Section 4

Title: Contract Regarding Management of Coal Mines to Be Deemed to Have Terminated on the Appointed Day

Title: Security for Keeping the Peace and for Good Behaviour

.....sub-section (1) are (a) any offence punishable under Chapter VIII of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860), other than an offence, punishable under section 153A or section 153B or section 154 thereof; (b) any offence which consists of, or includes, assault or using criminal force or committing mischief; (c) any offence of criminal intimidation; (d) any other offence which caused, or was intended or known to be likely to cause, a breach of the peace.
